Our guild's main healer is a resto druid. I am currently leveling a priest as a backup healer when our main's not online and to be able to start raiding Naxx.
I've never done a healer before and I was wondering what would be the best spec to get the most benefit for my guild when working with our resto druid.
I've heard that Discipline is more PvP, so I've prepared the following talent tree for a start:

Can someone please help/suggest any changes to the talent trees? If there are any big mistakes there, could someone explain why was my choice wrong?
Thanks in advance.

Disc is a great main tank healer spec. If you are just going to run with two healers you should go Disc. The druid can party heal and you can tank heal.

I'm meant not only to run with our resto druid, but also to go heal instead of her on some heroics, so I should be able to heal the whole 5 man party. Will I be able to do that if I spec discipline?

Ok, thanks for the replies. While I can pretty much see the bonuses I get on the Holy tree, I don't know which of the discipline talents I should choose. I've tried preparing a discipline build:

Could someone comment on whether I did good or bad, and how could I improve it?

Thank you very much for explaining my mistakes and for all the comments.
One last question.
freddycouger: in the build you linked, you have the desperate prayer selected. That is the only thing I can't see as being very useful. It costs quite some mana and only heals myself. If I'm in a situation to use it I'm probably already out of mana anyway, and I can't cast it on my tank. What is the reason to take it, and is it really worth taking/using?

Ok, thanks for your help. Think I got a good idea of how the trees should look like now.

THIS IS THE DISC SPEC THAT YOU WANT!
PVE

improved renew is NOT worth geting.. trust me
Renew is used when more throughput is needed in CONJUNCTION with existing heals.
Lets say you need to shift your focus away from the tank you are healing to heal someone else. A renew in place on the tank will allow you to do with with less of an impact.
Also...lets say the OT is tanking another mob and is in need of heals because his healer is undergeared or struggling in some other way.
It's unwise to shift your focus away from YOUR target to heal HIS.
Instead, this is where Renew comes in handy. Simply throw a renew on the other tank to SUPPLEMENT the other healer, and everything is good.
Renew isn't one of Disc's primary heals...however it has its uses.
It is certainly more useful than reducing the cast time of Smite, Holy Fire, and Heal.
Question: Why are you using Greater Heal instead of Flash Heal?
