Keep in mind that any class/race/hero class they add would have a background in the Warcraft saga...i.e. Lore.

Clothie Tank = Warlock?
Massive Damage Reduction (Soul Link, Master Demonologist {Voidwalker/Felguard}), Half-Decent armor (Demon Armor), Highest stamina of the cloth wearing classes, great magic resistance (Nether Protection), attacks regenerate health (Soul Leech, Siphon Life, Drain Life), Threat Production (Searing Pain)...
No, that doesn't cut it for a tank (no way to truly avoid damage {Every attack will hit besides our miniscule dodge chance}, inability to become 100% uncrushable {although thats not really an issue with WotLK}, no way to regenerate Mana during a fight {Lifetapping while tanking? No thanks!}, basically a high-stamina meatshield)... But IMO its the most realistic class for becoming a clothie tank. With a few "tank oriented" talents I think we could do it.

The only problem is Pandaren never made into WoW for a variety of reasons:
- They were a joke, a April's Fool joke that people liked to much they implemented them in Frozen Throne.
- They don't fit anywhere in WoW Lore. Never did and never will, at least not as it is now. Unless they launch an Asian Style Expansion, but i say that'd pretty much be the rock bottom of WoW.
- It would offend asian costumers. I don't really think that would be a reason, or there was a massive amount of complaints about the Pandaren race in Frozen Throne?
Don't get me wrong, i love Asian Culture, but introducing it heavily into WoW wouldn't make sense. We already have the Nelf architecture and way of life that reminds me a lot of asian cultures, the style and way of thinking of some Orc warriors that are a lot like Samurais that's ok that adds some flavor to the characters, but i'd say that's enough. Martial Arts aren't only Asian you know? Of course the most famous Martial Artists in OUR WORLD are in their majority asians, but that doesn't mean the martial artists in WoW should be asian style at all. Thinking that Martial Arts=Asian is a stereotype.
The Monk, as i suggested, is just a person that seeks enlightment trough the training of his body, mind and spirit, instead of receiving it from Divine beings.
Races that would be awesome Monks would be:
Humans: Versatility, they can achieve pretty much anything they put their mind into.
Dwarves: Their discipline woudl make them awesome monks.
Draenei: The Draenei way of thinking fits in, but they rely too much on the Naaru and a Monk had to deny the Naaru to focus on themselves.
Orcs: Seeking a way to quench the fury within, be the exact opposite they were.
Tauren: Even tough that may sound funny or stupid their way of thinking and living fits perfectly.
Trolls: Relax, mon. I bet no one meditates better than a Darkspear.
Maybe Night Elves and even Undeads, but POSITIVELY no Blood Elves or Gnomes.
wow, very indepth. But what not Bloodelves? Learning to control their arcane cravings through meditation.

Well put Vernadris, I'd just like to point out that the forsaken
DO
feel pain. How do I know this? There is one being tortured in the Scarlet Monistary Graveyard. Why torture something that can't feel pain?
Apart from that, very valid points.

I've spent some time trying to put myself in a developers shoes on the issue of a next hero class.
We don't need another tanking class. We now have 4 classes that can fill that role, as well as a dps role.
We don't need another healing class. We also have 4 classes that can fill that role, as well as a dps role.
We don't need another damage class. We have 4 dedicated dps classes, in conjunction with the 6 other classes that can fill that role.
So where do we go from here?
The only thing I could come up with that seemed to really fit outside of the core roles would be a dedicated enhancement class (not shamans)
Imagine a class thats sole purpose was to enhance his party in a way that compensated for the lack of an alternative core class. A class that could spec into a tanking/healing or damage enhancement.
For an example you took 10-wo/man naxx group, you wanted to have 3 healers but only have 2.. The enhancer could divide his ability into the other 2 healers, giving them buffs that would increase the healing or haste of the other 2 by 50% depending on their need. In the case of more healers buff would have a diminishing effect such as 3 healers being 33.33% each etc.
The same would go for dps and tanks in respective effects that could benefit them.
And I'm not advocating a class that stands around and does nothing, There would be a need to implement a kind of active participation. What that could be I'm not sure.
Oddly enough I had another one hit me while I was writing this.
How about a mimic class. One that has its own variet of abilities, more directed at dedicated dps for themselves. The trick would be that the mimic could "mimic" another player, taking on the appearance and class of that player (with their permission of course).
The mimic could wear leather or maybe mail (since the balance of these two with existing classes is pretty even) and like the druids increased attack power effect from any weapon now, they would recieve mimic specific stats, so that no changes to current items would be necessary for leveling purposes.
When the mimic "mimiced" he would take on similar gear stats to the mimiced player, but scaled based on item level. So if a level 90 (for the sake of discussion) in blues mimeced a paladin in epics, the mimic would get the same stats as the epic item, but the stat value would diminish to the item level of what the mimic is wearing, very much like the heirloom items we have now.
Anyway sorry if this is longwinded, and thanks for reading it if you got this far! I'd love to see anyones feedback.
