Any other SV have trouble with pet holding aggro?
This isn't an issue in dungeons only during quests.
Usually it goes like this: Mark, Pet Attack, Thunderstomp, Serpent Sting, Explosive Shot ( I usually have 87% aggro at this point ) Steady Shot, Steady Shot, Explosive ( now usually they are dead now ) if not I hit them real fast with a Concussion and Aimed shot. This will usually put them in the ground but the fact that my pet can't hold them is really annoying. Coming from BM I realize this is something I may just have to deal with but I was hoping the days of feigning death for simple fights were over.

Is your pet level 80? It helps alot on their threat generation when they have their skills on max level.
If you've got that covered, there are two things you could do to better the situation:
1. Put 1 pet talent point in 'charge' (helps alot on normal mobs they hold aggro just enough for me to kill the mob).
2. If you're fighting a tougher mob cast misdirect on your pet... that should give it a nice lead.

Yeah I think the biggest issue is that I was BM for a good while. Now that I do most of the damage it is a different play style that I will just have to get used to. It will be nice when we can duel spec. Then if I need to farm leather or something I can just switch to BM :)

Survival pets have never been able to hold aggro, it's just not in the mechanics. I was pulling off my cat as MM so I switched back to my gorilla and he olds aggro alot better. Now imagine throwing in the insane crits from SV, think your pet could hold aggro on that?
