And I must say, its sweet, After one hour of play we are level 8. Anyways I was wondering about a few things...
1. Should I worry about our gear? I have heard stories of people going to outland with level 20 gear.
2. We are currently running a hunter/Shaman build. We level so fast, that I know builds don't matter, but what are the suggested builds with these classes?
3. I am currently leveling in Durator. anyone know the areaS I should cover next? I know barrens, but where after?
4. in the long run does RAF still rock? I just turned ina quest and gained 13 bubbles of exp!

I RAF'd in October, me and a friend I played druid and he played hunter, our combos arent that differnnt.
we went from mulgore -> Barrens -> Tarren Mill-> 1k needles/arathi -> Tanaris -> Hinterlands -> ungoro -> WPL, EPL -> Outlands.
it took us 2 weeks to get 60, with about 1-2 hours of playing time a day.
Do all the group quests, and have a high level run you through some instances, we had a pally friend run us through some stuff and it was almost faster then questing. stuff like sm, and rfk and zf (easy aoe places). Honestly we finished at the most half of the quests in each place because of how fast it went.
dont worry about gear, you should get most of it from quests and instances, maybe AH a peice or 2 every 10 levels.
As far as specs, it doesent really matter, the pet will be tanking regardless of what spec the hunter is, the shaman should go enhance or elemental, do not go resto, absolute waste and you will be slowing each other down.
Also, when you both hit 60, each make 1 alt (lvl it to 10 because thats really fast), and have it boosted to 30 levels, it saves alot of time, because once you hit 61, you cant grant lvls anymore. and who doesent want a lvl 40 alt that took 30 minutes to make.
but yea, have fun, RAF is the best thing going right now, just a shame everything ends after 90 days and the moment you hit 61 :(.
(edit: OH AND MAKE SURE TO ONLY DO GRIND QUESTS -> SOO MUCH FASTER)

MAKE SURE TO DO ALL THE SHAMAN QUESTS!
Sorry for caps, but I had to get my point across. haha The reason you should take the extra time to do the shamans quests is because that's how you get your Totems, which are used to cast a large number of your spells. A shamn is pretty useless without his totems. :p
Also I did RAF with a buddy of mine like two months ago. We got to 60 in a few weeks and we did mostly instances. At the later levels (35+) you're better off just doing instances. I personally think it's alot more fun, and you get better gear.

We hit 51 last night and she does NOT play overly well, being as she is not a gamer. She plays to spend time with me, so her skills are as limited as one gets.
haha I had the same issue with my buddy, when we were in the 60s running BF he was playing like he was still in the barrens. It got to the point where I would was literally doing 4 times the amount of dps he was.....and I was tanking. XD
...although I was playing as a prot pally. :p
So to relate to the OP, the only issue really with RAF is missing out on some important lessons on how to play the game due to leveling so fast. I would suggest taking the time to read an FAQ or two here on wowhead.

1. No, dont worry too much about gear your quest rewards and green drops will be ok.
2. build for dps with the shaman. Let the hunters pet tank. Your healing spells will still be strong enough. As far as specific points are concerned, pick what you like. When I did the RAF, I was always forgetting to use my points b/c of lvling so fast. You will probably want to respec at 60 anyway.
3. search the zone levels on this site and just go in order. Drop any quests that are gray as you will miss out on the xp bonus.
4. Yes RAF rocks in the long run!
Just my opinion. other things to consider, you will probably run out of gold for your new spells and not have enough for your lvl 30 mount. Primary and secondary professions will fall behind. Save your free lvls till the end. it takes way more time to go from 50-60 than10-20.
