Threat gen rotation

I am currently having a hard time putting out steady high TPS. At times I hit around 6K, but there are times that I see 2.8K steadily on Omen. I've tried different rotations and can't pinpoint why I can get to 5.8-6K or why I can be as low as 2.8K.
I generally Maul swipe spam trash, don't really care since I almost never lose aggro unless another tank taunts or is fighting me for aggro on a mob. On bosses, I try every trick in the book to keep my threat up. I'll Mangle, Maul, Lacerate to 5, swipe and keep everything up. I actually overwrite my Mangles since I do seem to see a nice spike with consistent mangle/ maul combos. I don't keep FFF up since we have a raiding boomkin, but I do use Demoralizing roar and of course pop trinkets and live longer abilities when needed.
Any suggestions? My gear is pretty good and I haven't lost aggro on boss fights, but I do seem to see others getting close on some fights, and I want to raise the ceiling so they don't have to watch out for pulling threat. I believe my armory page is linked in my sig, so any suggestions there would be appreciated.
Edit: Don't make fun of my head enchant, I've just been lazy and haven't gotten my gear 100% yet. Should be good this week.

Thanks. I have been using swipe mostly, I'll lacerate to 5 and try to refresh it as often as possible. I'm mostly Sipe, Maul, Mangle though on boss fights. The rend and tear thing is definitely noted. I had it in my first build, but made a few sacrifices to be more bear like and didn't think my threat was an issue. I'm going to play around with it more.
I had thought of getting rid of the expertise talent, but pray silently that I can kitty a little more (only getting to do in on maybe 2 boss fights). Which was another reason I took the shred talent. I'm thinking I'll most likely drop Primal Tenacity, I took it only for the mitigation during stuns, but obviously I only get stunned during a few pulls in Construct quarter on the way to Patchwerk. The other 2 points aren't as easy for me. It most likely would be the Expertise, since I do have quite a bit of it. I'll just have to make up for any lost expertise for kitty through gear.
Thanks parrazell.
Edit: Do we really need 3 points in Infected Wounds? I could do 1 and keep the 2 points in my expertise talent for the energy refund.

I would agree with your selection of Tenacity to remove. You could also consider sacrificing iLotP, but I've always been very hesitant to do that myself. I don't have shredding attacks in my spec. Infected Wounds is arguably unnecessary in current content and even makes tanking harder in some cases (harder to reposition the two with that on them); so, that's another option.
One thing that I've noticed time and again is that if I'm not taking significant hits, it's *very* hard for me to maintain significant TPS. I've dropped into the 2.5-3k range when I've been rage starved. With good incoming damage? Sky's almost the limit, as we've seen by several of the druids here's examples.
I think you understand the rotation, though, with reference to the question in the thread title. Keep a bleed up, use mangle on cooldowns, use maul if rage permits, use swipe between mangles and lacerate refreshes, keep faerie fire up.

if you are looking for a good threat and tank and cat build try the hybrid one in my siggy.... i've played it a while now and never had threat, tanking, or dps issues from it :D

Are bosses even affected by infected wounds? Now that I think about it, I don't remember seeing it on any bosses using classtimers. Perhaps it isn't turned on to see it and I never really look at all the dots and debuffs on the boss as I have them pretty small. If that were the case, I really have no use for it.

So it would mitigate some damage. Slower swings, less damage incoming. I'll have to see if any of the other tanks use their Infected Wounds type abilities even if I'm tanking.
