Any mob can do that. I noticed they tended to bug this way mostly when I pull them from behind a corner to make the ranged/caster mobs come. The ranged/caster comes and starts pushing me into the wall. But yes, stunning them works, after they unstun they behave normally.

My problem with Grobbulus is that he walks into me, stays there for a second (melee positions behind him), and then he takes a step back so he's proper distance. Invariably this puts a melee in front of him and then we get a bunch of slimes.

You can reduce the risk of that by "dancing" with him - kind of anticipate when he will be moving back a step by taking an extra little step backwards yourself.
But generally Grobbulus is just annoying as hell to tank.

I have to agree that this is one of the most annoying aspects of tanking (aside from dps who attacks mobs before they get to you).
My issue generally falls under the latency category i believe.
I can't stand taking a step backwards only to have the mob run behind me and it's even worse with packs because it seems like you can never get them all on the same side of you if Shockwave is on CD.
