Does the
Austere meta
actually apply to all items, like the tooltip says? (rings, weapons, etc)

Well, I tested this meta today, and it does not work with all items, only cloth/leather. So anyway, this raised my armor by about 575 (with mostly lvl 200 epics, and a few higher or lower level) up to about 33300 armor in bear form. This reduces physical damage taken by about 0.3 or 0.4%. Now, compare that to the magic reduction offered by that "Effulgent" meta of a full 2%... Considering how many casting bosses there are out there, I'm rethinking what the best meta for druids is... thoughts?

Effulgent
has an incorrect tooltip though.
Experimentation
and
data
show that it's not 2% less spell damage taken, but 2% increase in resistances:
Apply Aura: Mod Base Resistance % (126)
Value: 2
This makes is MUCH less attractive.

@Tarkeel's post: when I read this the other day, my decision was made up on that.
