Earth Shield hasn't counted as YOUR healing for very long. In BC, it was the target's threat (and thus the target's healing on the meters). Now that they changed it so it will count as your healing, it *should* (in theory) proc AH, but they may not have changed it to include that. I'd post on the o-boards about it.

If its intended, i wouldnt wonder why. Letting ES proc 25% more armor on crit would would be breaking "bring the player, not class" rule pretty badly. Jeez, imagine that you are bear tank, and your armor is 25% moar in raid with shammy.
It's fine imo

not really...as the earth shield can proc only every few seconds and not all the procs will be crit, so the buff will not always be on the target and with a decent crit rating (that almost every resto shaman have now) the buff would have a greater up time from "normal" heals...

Providing a non-unique buff certainly does do that.

I get your points but. With current high %crit of shammies, you would always want to bring shammy to raid. Armor increase would be easy (what it is already) makings shammies not only a healer, but also invaluable raid tool (intended yes, but limit has to go somewhere)

As said above - it really wouldn't be *that* overpowered:
It is not shaman-specific, but is also available to disc or holy priests (so either a total of 60% of the healing specs or 50% of the classes, whichever way you look at it). A disc priest will probably be tank heals, and thus keeping up the *same* 25% armor buff, only with 3% damage reduction and pain suppresion as well. When holy priests or resto shamans are tank heals, the buff is usually up anyway as well.
It would not stack. The buff may be a very good reason to bring a disc priest or a shaman, but it's not gonna result in a raid stacked with them. Yeah, I can see how it would help to bring multiples of these healers if you have extra tanks, but it really doesn't mean you have to have them. Besides, heavy AoE fights usually require less tanks (e.g. Sapphiron and Malygos you really only need 1 tank on) so fights where you wouldn't be spamming the tanks you only need 1 armor buff anyway. Thus it works like almost any other buff - having 1 is very helpful, having more probably isn't too helpful.
The biggest thing is simply that it works, logically. Judging from the tooltip, I see no reason why ES shouldn't provide the benefit.
Yes, it would be a huge buff for shaman utility if this change/fix were made. However, shaman have always been about utility (e.g. totems, bloodlust, interrupts, cleanses) and this would give them a little more. It wouldn't put shamans higher up on the healing meters (except maybe since the tank healers will be healing less), and for the reasons above isn't going to be gamebreaking.
I will agree that if that change happened, some guilds would go "All shamans must raid resto now so we can get as much armor as possible" and others would say "The only healers we're bringing are resto shamans", but there wont be that many. Even if that change went through, I'd rather have resto shaman+resto druid+holy pally in our 10-man group (and I'm the OT, which means I wouldn't get ES in this situation), which is what I prefer as it is.

Right, but if a Disc Priest is doing tank heals, it's very likely that they'll be casting enough to keep inspiration active 100%. When I have a shaman (even an undergeared shaman who just hit 80 or respecced resto) spamming heals on me, I never see my armor drop below 36-39k (depending on buffs). The theory here is that letting ES crit generate AH would be OP, but if you have a shaman raid healer or a disc tank healer, it's basically the same thing.
