one advantage of being a gemcrafter is that at the higher lvls of it you get acess to some of the best trinkets in the game so far and also get acess to gems that are far better then the blue gems everyone can buy and equip to there armor
enchanting is also very good becausde it can also make you a ton of money depending on who much the mats go for on your server and it dosetn really make a dfferecne with the extra 15 points to enchanting i found it helped on my shaman who is a gemcrafter that the extra 5 points helps when a expasion comes out so you can get a head start on lvling it by getting the new recipes from the trainer

Advantage of one vs the other
1) Right now, JC give the best trinkets
2) Enchanting allow you to DE stuff, so extra income.

Because so many people are still leveling JC Im making a killing prospecting Thorium ore. I probably made about 2k the last 2 days just buying every stack of thorium around 50g and prospecting it. Sold a stack of huge emeralds for 800g The diamonds and blue sapphires about 400g a stack and the orange ones about 300g a stack. And they sell within a few hours.
