Just a special note guys.
Glyph of Typhoon is a minor glyph, I didn't know until I tried to put it in a major slot. Gogo specific moonkin minor glyphs!

One addon that is awesome is squakandawe if your gonna be boomkin speced into eclipse. It helps track dot's and your eclipse and the internal cd on eclipse.
For glyphs, glyph of motw, glyph of is if your boomkin, glyph of moonfire and starfire as well for boomkin. As resto I have no idea. My boomkin just hit 80 and I have no plans of anything other than boom for him.
If you go to the boomkin guide for elitist jerks the author of squakandawe has a link to it there.
For resto addons Grid and clique are great
spell check: its squawkandawe
i use it and its great for eclipse cooldown timer

Major glyphs for an 80 boomkin are:
Major
1. Starfire
2. Moonfire
3. Insect Swarm or Innervate (choice dependant)
Minor
1. Whatever you want
2. Whatever you want
3. You get the picture :P

I took a couple of resto glyphs mostly because I did a little off spec healing and my dps wasn't hurting yet.
Major: reduces the cost/cast/effect of my Healing Touch useful for the times that I need to heal fast (I've always found the pushback to be killer where as now I can cast an "OMG!" and then top it off.
Minor: Unburdened Rebirth because you never know when you'll need that battle rez and you're not carrying seeds.
The others I'd go for:
Major: Entangling Roots 'cause I root and Boom
Major: Starfire 'cause it brings more hurt
I stayed away from the Moonfire glyph since the DoT is less use to me than the initial damage in most cases.
In reality I bought more glyphs than I could use thinking I might trade out but I've kept my resto glyphs in play.

Not bad all things considered. Buying extra while they are low price in the AH is a good idea especially if you respec alot.

You really only want to use this glyph for pvp as there are better glyphs out there for healing. Regrowth, in my opinion, is a better option for PvE if you feel the need to off-heal.
Minor: Unburdened Rebirth because you never know when you'll need that battle rez and you're not carrying seeds.
This is a
very
good glyph to have no matter what spec you play.
Major: Entangling Roots 'cause I root and Boom
This is another PvP based glyph, in fact it quite good for PvP. Not as good as others for PvE for boomkin. You may take this while leveling up though.
Major: Starfire 'cause it brings more hurt

Telling someone to take the SF glyph and not the MF glyph is like taking the engine out of a car and forgeting to put a new one in. You had the right idea you only put in half the effort. MF and SF should be paired at all times for a PvE boomkin and if you PvP you may want to take the just MF glyph (playstyle dependant)
Edit: Spelling
Edit: More Spelling... I gave up on grammar...

I bet I have that glyph somewhere- but you're right- it does depend upon play style and it makes sense to pair those. I should note that I mostly PvE and will often start my rotation with SF and then bring in the MF so the DoT is already getting decreased in my rotation. That means that I depend more on the initial hit from MF, hence why I didn't advocate the MF glyph. Use me as an example not as the model.

Over any fight long enough to use the full use of your MF the glyphed version will win out in dmg, and if you happen to extend it with SF it makes this increase even more pronounced. The numbers are out there I invite you to find them for yourself. I just wanted people to understand the raiding glyphs and not get confused by a playstyle choice.

It's worth noting that you can make DoTimer track the internal cooldown of Eclipse. You just create a 30s Notification bar to appear whenever it generates a bar for the eclipse buff. Then every time eclipse procs DoTimer gives you a 15 sec bar for the buff and a 30 sec bar for the CD.
For me i found this to be the best solution as DoTimer has a ton of features, customisability, and can track things far and beyond what squakandawe can (plus i use DoTimer for all chars, where squak is druid specific).
