I have a Shammy friend in my raid who is elemental and her dps isnt quite there, if you know what i mean. Shes only averageing around 1000 dps and is geared enough for heroic Naxx, but cant get above 1.2k dps on normal Naxx.
What is the best Shammy Dps talent build? Doesnt have to be Elemental (but preferably)
What is the rotaion she should use (penidng on the talent you pick)
What is the Dps that she should be looking for on bosses, like Patchwrek?
Is there a list of gear that would be best suited for her?
If you can hep, that would be great. Until next time, thx ^.^ Also if you have any links i can pass on to her so she can read up too.
P.S. - heres her link to the armory -

1. Skipping that, as I can usually pick "good" talents, but maybe not the "best" build. For enhance I would probably go with something close to
this
and for elemental I would use
this
. Again, these may not be "the best" but they should do decent DPS. Whether to go elemental or enhancement is really up to you.
As enhance, use DW, and as elemental, use 1H+Shield.
2. Shaman isn't so much going to go with a "rotation" but rather a priority system:
Enhance:
Stormstrike
MW Use (generally lightning bolt)
Earth Shock
Lava Lash
(Aside from utility spells, totems, shield, and cooldowns such as trinkets/racial/spirit wolves/shamanistic rage, that should really be all you cast)
Elemental:
Flame Shock if it isn't up
Lava Burst
Earth Shock (if flame shock is up and you glyphed shocks, if not I'm not entirely sure whether or not it will be worth it)
Chain Lightning
Lightning Bolt
3 and 4 I'm not going to be as good with...I do best with comparisons within a spec, not with relating gear level to output level or at managing gear lists.

What are the totems that she should put down? I know wrath is going to be one, since she wants to go elemental.

If you're gonna be a *!@# about someone else's ineptitude, have proper grammar and spelling.
he did fine make me understand and think about eng is his/her second language huh?

Regardless of what the language is, I believe grammar in some form is included in all languages. His post really was a pretty big wall of text.

A wall of text written correctly is... readable?
I really don't understand your problem.

7. Spell rotation: FS, LvB, LBx5 (or CL + LBx4 in some situations), LvB, LBx4 and repeat.
Why 5x5LBs? I can barly get 3x and a CL with Wrath of air totem out (No other haste) before LvB is rdy and LvB is the primary dmg spell for Ele Shammys.

Cooldud, a wall of text is a lot different from a well formatted post of similar length. There are long posts that barely anyone reads because they have too many words, but still some people read and have an easy time doing so. If you look at the link in my sig, you'll see that it's a very long post - but yet many people were able to comment on it and had little difficulty reading it. Let me repeat this paragraph using a more lax style:
cooldud a wal of txt is lots diffrent from a post with a good writing form tht is just as long bc theres long posts that no1 reeds bc the hav 2 much words but still get red by sum bc they good posts anyway nd if u luk in my sig u can c i make long post sometime 2 but lots of peeps can still reed it and have an easy time doing so.
Do you see the difference? The first paragraph may be a *tad* longer, but they say the same thing. And yes you probably can read both paragraphs, but the first is much easier. The second paragraph is basically a ramble - you can't really tell when the subject is changing because there's little punctuation. This was also relatively small, imagine reading a 5 paragraph post in each format: formal and casual text. The casual text is going to get much more painful to read when it's 2-3 screen long.

I skimmed this post because it had nothing to do with the topic of the thread.
Most of the spec and rotation stuff has been answered. So if you're looking for a gear list, use the weight scale function built into Wowhead. The presets (
Elemental
) and (
Enhancement)
are good places to look. Any gem slots should be filled with +hit gems until cap, unless it's to activate a meta. Hope this helps.
