right now both Cats and Devilsaurs are the best. But if you go MM/SV... it wont count SO much what ferocity pet you bring.

Raptor if you are MM or Surv, and, from what I've been reading, Devilsaurs if you're BM.
That is, for PvE DPS, of course.
For PvP, Cunning pets > all.
Chimaeras for BM, spiders, rays and ravagers for MM/SV.

So your saying its OK to annoy pretty much everyone in your raid to get an extra 100 DPS(maybe) over a Raptor, Wasp or Cat. 'Cause as far as I've seen from data reported in forums Loque’nahak has actually better DPS and makes no noise.
I have seen the exact opposite of that.
Plus, if they care more about the noise than my DPS, they can just leave the raid.

I highly doubt that Loke is the highest DPS pet as of now.
Blizzard stated that they would not make it so, simply cause they want Loke to be a "special" pet.
Making him the highest DPS, would tag him as something like a "needed" pet to min/max your toon, something that most hardcore raiders do.
That said, I think you should tame the pet you like most, be it a cat or a strider.
