Hello everyone!
I have played World of Warcraft for a couple of years, and the love of playing online virtual worlds has inspired me to do an MSc course on it, and to do a thesis relating to it!
I am currently a member of this course:
http://www.iadt.ie/en/ProspectiveStudents/SchoolsCourses/SchoolofCreativeTechnologies/CyberpsychologyMSc/
At this college:

All I require is for people to respond, it only takes ten minutes to do! There is the chance to win a €50 euro (or the equivalent in your local currency) voucher for Amazon for taking part!

Thanks for the response freddycouger, very good ;)
Did you fill out the questionnaire too? Would be very helpful, and I could use in my research!
Thanks!

Yeah zerowashu interesting point.
I started my account so long ago, I can't remember exactly the process, but I believe you choose a name, and then create your character?
Perhaps this is an interesting point which may sway people to choose gender based on name?

I play female because
I'm a girl
Male models are stupid looking
Sometimes I wish I didn't, because nearly all their stances in battle or shooting are CRAP. (WTH belf fem mage? you don't use a stave like a baton!)

Well, realta, if you play female because you're a girl, then you don't gender-bend!
I could still do with your responding, because I'm looking for people who also do NOT gender-bend.
I'm looking for males and females who play different genders, not just guys who play girls!

I play about an even spilt of male and female toons, on my main realm I have toons of just about every race/gender combination.
When you play as many alts as I do it helps you remember who's who!

I'm a guy and I play only male characters.
I'm somewhat uncomfortable with playing a 'toon of the opposite gender.
I see my 'toons as a sort of avatar, or a representation of myself in the WoW world.
Hence why I can't bring myself to play a female. It misrepresents me.

I started with a male toon, and when I rolled a new one, went for female. All of a sudden it was a much more social game, though not always the type of socialising I want.
