Your raid is clearly locked in an old-world mindset. Bring the player, not the class, is the current design. It takes roughly 10 players to bring every relevant buff, after that there's going to be a lot of overlap and you should just bring the best players you've got.
Also, you have ZERO death Knights or rogues. LOL?

the real question is with what classes and how much of each should I generally take on a 25 man raid. The below is what I have worked out but I would still like to here what is wrong with it(probs alot) and how I should organize the groups. ie-conventionally with a tank, heals, and 2dps, and a utility or I was thinking about switching it up and making a tanking party, heal party, dps parties, and a utility. I know the buffs would be weird on the later but I was just brainstorming, thanks for the info :)
Tanks:
2 prot war
1 druid
1 prot pally
1 fury warrior(something a tad different)
Healers:
1 resto druid
1 resto shaman
2 holy priests
1 holy pally
DPS1:
3 hunters
1 arms warrior
1 lock
rogue in one of these just not sure where to put em
DPS2:
3 mages
2 bal druid
Tool kit (utility):
1 disc preist
2 ret pally/ 2dk whatever I can get
1 ele shammy
1 shadow preist
omg, why have u got no love for Enhancement Shaman?
why 3 Hunters? incase if you didn't notice, these dying breed gives all your melee raid a 10% extra AP from each of our Crits made ~ and also means extra totems and extra Lust
i'd replace 1 Hunter with 1 Ehance Shaman FTW!

usually better to bring many specc instead of bringing alot of same specc and class. All specc does some sort of buffing and will make the average dps goes up or healing or tanking.
So i must agree you thought are locked in a BC settign way.
to do grps well you usually need
3 tanks
5-6 healers
rest dps

Don't take 2 prot warriors and 1 prot paladin, that's way too many prots. Try to never have more than 2 prots in a raid, preferably just 1. The rest of the tanking should be handled by druids and death knights, because they can do a lot more DPS when they don't need to tank.

Indeed. Two prots at the most. Druids and Death Knights can tank just as good as protwarrior/paladins, bet dish out way more damage when they're DPSing.
It's not like you need 3 tanks for Sapphiron, do you?
