http://triple-helix.org A little about us:
In 7 nights (24 total hours, a few nights went late =P) we have cleared all 10 and nearly all 25 man content, including many of the "X with less than #" achievements. Triple Helix is a group of like-minded individuals enjoying Blizzard’s changes to the raid scene. We have jobs or classes, we have spouses or significant others, dogs, cats, 10 fingers and toes, and all the other sorts of stuff you would expect from people. Most of all, we have brains, dedication, and mad
skillz (see, I used a ‘z’ there, that’s street cred holmes). We are employing all 3 to progress through Lich King content quickly and efficiently without the burnout or turnover of most guilds.
You may require too much attention from those around you or misunderstand the pleasure of conversational banter. You may be driven to play for the pixels rather than the people, or feel the need to incite drama. Hell, your parents may force you to wear a helmet as soon as you wake up or you may not fully appreciate the simple nuances between breathing through your nose and your mouth. I don’t care, but in these cases, we do not want you. We are a group of players opening our
doors for skilled, dedicated, and friendly players to join us.
Simply put, most of us are veteran players who are sick of wasting hours a night because some mouth-breather can’t perform correctly in a raid setting. If you like to stand in the fire/goo/gas/volcano/whatever and watch the pretty colors, its safe to say you are not a good fit in the T-H. The flip side of the coin is also true, just because you're god's gift to raiding does not mean you'll get along well if you're crass and rude or only log on for those 9 hours a week. We don’t expect everyone to be perfect. We ask that you come with a moderate understanding of your class, a willingness to dedicate yourself, and most of all to participate, learn, grow, ask questions, joke around and still accept criticism when needed.
We are not a group of real life friends or a clique that has separated from another guild. As a group, we come from different servers, guilds, and real-life backgrounds. Several of us have played since the World of Warcraft beta while a few have never raided past kara. Some of us raided in the olden days through Molten Core, Blackwing Lair, AQ40, the original Naxx and all the way through clearing Black Temple pre 3.0. We all played together on and off throughout the Burning Crusade and after staying in contact through our experiences on Thrall and elsewhere, we finally came together to
form Triple Helix.
We raid 3 nights a week: Sunday, Wednesday, and Thursday. Times are from 8:15-11:30 EST, Sunday is 7:15 (server time). While we set aside those three nights specifically for farming and progression content – as a whole we’re on and active every night and heroics and 10 mans happen with regularity on off-nights. Our recruitment philosophy is ‘quality over quantity’, and as such our policies are pretty stringent regarding inviting members. Nothing that will seem out of place
to anyone who truly wants to join, but plenty to keep out people who would not necessarily be a good fit. Our growth will be steady, retaining a strong player core rather seeing content at the expense of meat-grinding through bodies. Fielding a force of 25 to kill Big Bad Bossy #458 means nothing to us if we do not enjoy whom we are raiding with.
We welcome anyone who thinks they share our play style and philosophy to drop us a line. We encourage (read: require) you to contact either myself, or Ayson in-game or post on our forums (
http://triple-helix.org) to talk to us either before or after tossing up an application.
