After yesterday's patch, frost does have slightly better physical damage mitigation - however, I still prefer unholy, especially since the glyph to bone shield was buffed up to 2 extra charges (giving bone shield a minimum duration of 17.5 seconds). It's also nice having a ghoul that can actually survive until you need to sack him for nearly half of your max health =P
To elaborate... with glyph and talents, my ghoul now has over 18k health unbuffed when i'm in tanking gear (unbuffed), he's also got almost 11k armor and easily pulls 200 or more DPS in most pve fights. Having gnaw on autocast now also helps in pvp a bit.
Plus, IMO unholy is much better than frost currently for pvp and soloing purposes, and I can match most average DPS'ers without changing my talent spec - in fact, I ran VoA last night as the maintank and was a good 4% total damage ahead of one of the DPS DK's in the group, and even further ahead of the shadowpriest.
Anyways, here's my armory link...
ok nevermind, stupid armor is undergoing maintenance right now >.<
My spec:
http://www.wowhead.com/?talent=j0EMZ0xZfg0G0foMeoofsut
Stats (unbuffed in tanking gear w/ frost presence):
24.6k~ health
around 25k armor
20%~ dodge
18%~ parry
549 defense
Not sure on AP and such, im not logged in right now and the damn armory is down -_-

The reason why I got Blood Caked over Wandering plauge is that our melee crit chance in tank gear is fairly low. Blood cake would be more reliable.
Wandering plague is designed for aoe. Even if you only have 10% crit chance, multiply that by 2 (for 2 diseases) on 10 different mobs by spreading pestilence, and suddenly you've got a roughly 200% chance to proc wandering plague every 3 seconds.
Desecration is nice for aoe tanking, however, during a lot of the boss fights later on in raids we have to keep moving. So, it's kind of a waste of five points. I would put those five points in Dirge + Reaping.
Desecration, IMO, is horrible as both a tanking AND dps talent, it's a pvp talent and nothing more.
Ebon Plaugebringer is nice too, but if you have another unholy DK in the group, or raid it'll get over writen. I'm not sure if this is true after the patch, please correct me if I'm wrong.
Ebon Plaguebringer gives +3% chance to crit with all spells and abilities now... definitely worth taking, especially for your wandering plague issue =P
Can someone please explain why in a lot of build i see people taking BCB and Necrosis?
Filler talents, mostly. I dont think necrosis is worth taking as a tank, even with the buff to 20%, because I aoe 90% of the time - its good for dps/pvp/soloing now.
Blood caked blade, on the other hand, is just awesome no matter what type of weapon you're using or what kind of tanking you're doing. My BCB hits for roughly 800-900 damage non crit, and it's completely passive.
Is RS not used?
Rune strike sucks up runic power, it's great when you have some to spare but a lot of times I find myself having to decide between rune strike and unholy blight - and like I said, I aoe 90% of the time. I use rune strike on bosses, primarily.
Visas, how much dps did u put out roughly. That sounds interesting to me and almost worth a respec
With my build, and in my dps gear (which honestly isnt that great), I was ranging between 1700-1900 DPS throughout a heroic halls of lightning run the other night.
