Honestly, I never drop into tree in battlegrounds. I find I die less if I am always moving, pop some instant hot's and travel form to get away. Run back throw some hots on your buddy's and keep moving.
Mobility is what druid healers are good at. Save your leafy roots for instances.
But yea, rogues are a pain when they get you. :(

This makes no sense. Yes, mobility is key, but what does that have to do with tree form? Tree form is as mobile as caster and as quick to switch into travel. Tree form gives you more healing for less mana and 50% greater armor.
Now if you said tree form was bad because it makes you instantly recognizable as a healer and because you can be banished in tree form, that is an argument. Mobility is not.

I guess that was implied but not stated in regards to tree form, my mistake. I didn't mean you cannot move in tree form, just giving my 2 cents on how I survive in bg's. Mobility.

How much Resilience do you have? It's one of the most important stats, along with Stamina. You'll get healing & mana/MP5 through your gear, so you shouldn't really mind it.
I got a few tips:
- Mobility is the key, this is only learned through experience.
- Use trinket against Rogues, and if you feel a rogue is coming -> Bear form. Put a HoT or two on you if you got the time.
- Tree Form is okay now, but it's another form = more mana. I would say it's good to 'start' in, but not to use when you got a rogue behind you.
Always focus on staying alive when a rogue/anyone attacks you. You should never be alone as a healer, so the backup will be there shortly.
If you see a Rogue in the distance that might not've seen you: Use Faerie Fire. (Makes them unable to stealth)
You might want to use stealth yourself, so they will attack another player. This will give you the chance to stun the Rogue, and heal the attacked player. (Which will interrupt his 'stunlock'.)
I hope it helps a bit!

im a resto druid, and when i go pvp style. i never use Tree form, cus people are gonna see thats im a healer, and focus onto me, if im jumping around in normal form, it makes them think and look at whos healing rather than seeing who it is straight away.
My gear alone gives me enough mp5 to keep healing for a long time, so the reduced mana cost isnt a huge problem.

To go tree form or not is a double edged sword. The obvious downside is ANYONE with a brain will attack the healer first, and being in tree form is like having a big arrow pointing over your head constantly. But on the plus side, survivability is much higher within tree form then outside of tree form. Personally i follow this general strategy:
Start group fights in your in caster form. After you start tossing HoT's on others, people will notice it, and switch to attacking you. During this time you can also be a little offensive and maybe drop a moonfire/entangle here and there. There's really no way to discourage people from attacking you outside of not healing at all lol, but at least you won't be the first targeted. Smart people will notice and switch over to you immediately, at which point you will want to drop natures graps and go into tree form. From there your gonna set off red flags for any enemy nearby you that didn't notice where the hots were coming from, so start dropping rejuv/lifeblooms on yourself. Toss up swiftmend on the first big spike and immediately cast regrowth after, and continue kiting. Your goal at this point is to survive long enough for your nearby allies to reduce their numbers down. I pretty much stay in tree form the entire time while kiting as it makes my cures stronger, gives better armor, and just as important; it reduces mp costs, as I will have to drop alot of cures down on myself. If theres more then 3 on me, i might risk going travel form to run away, but usually i can easily outcure 1 dps and most times 2 dps as long as im not chainstunned.
The key is to get out of normal caster form the moment you think you will get attacked, not after your attacked, as those 1-2 extra hits in caster form can cause you to start too low to recover from. And if your ever caught by a rogue in casterform, its GG.

Yea the only joys i have as a resto in BG's is outlasting dps long enough that they either give up or die due to help arriving. One of my favorites was against an arms warrior, which was tricky cause i had to time swiftmends whenever the mortal strike debuff went down. Surviving a rogue is part luck. If your caught in caster form w/out rejuv on, your screwed. But if your in tree with a rejuv up, usually i can turn it into another outlasting match. Wait for kidneyshot, trinket, > swiftmend to full > refresh your hots and abolish poison. The rogue will be low on energy and wont be able to burst you down if his stun combo fails. Keep thorns up too, I find rogues are the fastest to be discouraged into leaving you alone if you can outlast.
