Treating a serious WoW addiction

How many of the things he needs to play WoW can be thrown away or cancelled?
It sounds to me like weaning him off it might be too difficult. Would it be possible to take everything he needs to play the game, like his computer and internet access, then force him to see a councillor while he doesn't have access to the game?
And this might be a strong step, but what about having a friend restrain him while someone takes away his computer? If he would react as badly as you say, it might be one of only a few choices left.
Hopefully I haven't reiterated too much of what's been said, and I hope you can find a solution.

> The WoW addiction is not he real problem here. I've seen cases like this and I can tell you for sure that if you delete his toons, cancel his account or cut off his internet
you are only making matters worse
.He will become frustrated and highly uncooperative.
Agreed

Then why don't you tell everyone what the real problem is? Where are your friends? Do you even know your nieces and nephew? Are you just so bored by them that there is nothing better to do?
Sorry if this is becoming like Family Feud...

Theres a perintal control thing or w/e in wow wich allows you to control the game time he plays saaay (4 hours a day?)
also if nothing mental really get physical (im being serius) start hurting him like hook his keybord up to a shockpad to say maybe after 4 hours of use itle shock the user...ooor throw his comp away and everytime he gets a new 1 throw it away again and delete all his toons when hese in the bathroom and when he makes new 1ns...delete em again...eventaly most people would give up after 100 toons deleted...im hate saying this but if you ever do anything like deleteing his toons all the time make sure some1 watches him alot...people do comit suicide for stuff like that when there addicted to it
-P.S. sorry for my horible spelling im not the best speller in the world : /
For the parental controls, I would need his answer to the secret question; he's not very forthcoming with it either.
I would not turn him against me by deleting his thousands of hours of work. He needs to be weened in my opinion, but I still want to seek the advice of a therapist.
For those in the eastern time zone:
HAPPY NEW YEAR!
