The parry-gib is a myth!

I've seen the parrygib in certain boss fights on me and it is very real. It can totally throw a healer off because the damage can come so quick. So what I generally end up doing is going d/w for clearing trash and switching to 2H for boss fights. I prefer to d/w because faster attacks=faster runestrikes=more threat. But I've seen my 30k health go from 100% to 10% in just a couple of seconds due to parry-gib. Did I live? Sure, but thats the stuff that gives your healers grey hairs.
D/W was definitely a defense friendly option for fresh level 80 tanks. But with the the 2H Rune, it's no longer an issue. I still love d/w and use it as much as I can, but when it comes to fighting bosses, I switch to 2H.

Parry gib exists. It's not a myth, but it doesn't really SUPER GIB either. People just exaggerate it.
I still don't like Dual Weilding.

2h swing slower = fewer parried attacks over time.
DW miss a $$#! ton = fewer parried attacks over time.
So all and all, looking at it, they both have "about" the same chance to be parried. Stack your expertise and you will not have these issues.
Wrong. WoW is a "one-roll" system; you have about a 13% chance (with 0 expertise) of being parried on any one attack. The increased miss-chance from dual-wielding has no impact on parry rate; increased parry rate for dual-wielders comes from the extra attacks of your off-hand.

Maybe the people who tanked Brutallus pre nerfs exaggerate it, but then is really was "SUPER GIB". To OP: people seem to not understand the point of min-maxing, yes you might not die DW, but that doesn't mean that your geared and specced in the most optimal way possible. Why do people have to make these posts? Parry-Haste is not a myth but perhaps in current content, its not really a serious issue. Bottom line, find something that works for you and play it. Stop trying to make the whole world agree with you.
