You might wanna give this a go :) So much win.

Yells "Come here!" and "Get over here!" in Scorpion's voice when you use DG. Best add-on EVER.
That... is awesome. I can see your point with the whole strategy thing, and I can see the potential in bgs and such, but this ability is quite a nuisance when trying to quest.
Just a few minutes ago, I pulled a quest mob with it (one of the dudes you gotta seek out with slow respawn), and I get him to about 10%... and then I get DG to a group of horde, I try to run to the mob to finish him of, then get another DG, and proceed get pwned in 5 secs... and then they kill the mob. When I rez, 10 min wait for respawn.

multiple death knights working together to keep you from escaping is stratgy, simple but effective.

I guess I am the only one that has ever been tag
teamed by rogues and paladins - perpetual stun,
stun, stun - dead.
Why is DK using an ability any more heinous than
what was already out there (especially if you are
a clothie facing the above mentioned teams)?
I'd perfer to be stunned than this, cuz at least a stun leave you where you are. The annoying part of this spell is it pulls a player towards the enemy, unlike a stun... which leaves you where you were.

I think the reason people tend to find this OP is because...
Stuns are predictable in the sense that you know you are stationary, and you have a chance to trinket/resist the stun and allow you a opening to excape or counter the player.
Fears are unpredictable in the sense that, although they can bring you closer to the target, they can also push you further away. this can also be removed via talents/spells/trinkets that also give the option for the person to excape.
Death Grip, there is only 1 place you are going -- Back into the person you are running from. if this is timed with multiple Death Knights, this gives you a 0% chance of survival, there is absolutely no chance in any situation that you are going to be able to excape them outside of a bubble hearth.
BUT
A single death Knight by himself, this is not OP in the least. its just a minor setback, and a totally leagal move. even as a DK myself though, timing this with multiple is *fun* and *funny* but its not a very honorable way of killing someone, but most people don't really care about fair fights, they only care about griefing.
But hey, to each his own. I see the sides of both arguements, now we just have to see what shot Blizz makes.

It's not like it's terribly different from a group of Warriors staggering you with Charge. Even with DR, Charge - MS x 5 is going to kill a lot of people. Death Grip is a Death Knight's version of Charge, but without the stun. How is that so bad? X amount of 'Class' using 'X' ability on one person is going to kill them, pretty much guaranteed.
In other news, someone the other day was talking about how a group of Horde chain-gripped him into Thrallmar. According to him, from his DK perspective it was 'OMG AWESOME', but he was on his paladin, so it made him sad.
Don't take away the funnest move DK's get. Just be glad we can't use it while moving.

Why is it today that people equate strategy to being OP? I guess people are used to the random clusterf*cks that BGs normally are, so when they come across some players who are actually good and kicking ass, they seem "OP".
So, being able to use this OP CC makes players "good"? Great "strategy"!
How is it any worse than being feared to death, or stunned for six seconds, or being charged or intervened, or rooted?
Perhaps because it does not have diminishing returns?
This seems to be the only Crowd Control effect in the game that does not have some internal Diminishing Returns. Even if it did, it is still drastically OP.
Rooting/Snaring or Hexing/Sheeping is one thing. A pull back of this magnitude has endless griefing ability, it has a short cooldown, and it is unaffected by DR.
Nope, not OP in the slightest!

35 seconds (25 when talented) is not what I would call a short CD.
It is no different then Charge/Intercept. Same concept, sameish CD, some frustration, different execution. It's new and people aren't used to being owned by it. This kind of QQing is too be expected and it will pass.

lets see...fear...repeatable cast...multiple forms for a warlock...single from priest/warrior(scream/shout)...stun repeatable cast through rogues...single from warriors, paladins, druids, warlocks(felguard) death knights if you get the useless glyph(it already interupts why add more CD for a 1 sec stun), and who ever else...
diminishing returns on fear...8,4,2...thats 14 seconds of fear with just the spell "Fear" if a warlock cant kill you in 14 seconds...your terribad...trinket out of the first one...still 6 second fear...still a LONG time to be in a loss of control situation...
diminishing returns on stun...is there really i mean stun lock happens much like fear lock used to...not much progress there imo...
death grip...its a 25(talent dependant) second CD reverse charge/intercept...it doesnt stun without the glyph...which makes the CD longer on it anyway...if there is a deminishing return placed on this ability i must say that there should be one placed on charge and a further one placed on stuns...further more...why are we QQing about this ability when chains of ice exists...with no deminishing return that i've seen yet....until this ability makes you unable to defend yourself in the way a stun or fear would...dont complain...and FYI...this spell...can miss...stack your shad resist kiddies...
good day to all and may bliz fix the damn servers this millenium please
