Does anyone see the "Alextrasza, show me what happened" part? I am curious...
The questline leading up to the cinematic has been ingame for quite a while, so the 'show me what happened' allows those of us who has already completed the questline, to see what happened
This is somewhat vital, as the area around the Wrathgate changes rather dramatically once you get to a particular stage. Without the cinematic, we've somewhat been left to guess at what happened.
apparently i missed this somewhere! Changes around you?
This is a new feature in Wrath, where part of the scenery will change as you progress along a questline. Remember that escort quest NPC that kept getting caught over & over? With this system, once you have completed the escort, the NPC will no longer appear caught. Other players, who haven't completed the escort quest, will continue to see the NPC until they too complete it.

so... let me get this straight. this all going to be in WotLK ? horde and alliance fighting together. is wrathgate a zone that changes, similar to how ascalon does, post searing in guild wars?
also, this has got to be the most epic wow video i've seen.

all this is happening in dragonblight right? so arthas is in the cave behind the ? boss there?
Yes, the whole questline (apart from follow-ups) takes place in Dragonblight. The cave that Arthas appears from is on the back of the Icecrown Citadel, so presumably it's some sort of rear entrance to the citadel.

so ok... but what if youre grouped with ppl that havent completed the quest... theyre gonna see something completely different than what youre seeing? How is that plausable? i dont think it would work as far as gameplay is concerned

It works fine really, at least I haven't run into any places where it is akward.
@_@ so is this going to be a raid?
It's a solo quest, you gain some rather sick buffs that pretty much means you can't die. Also, most of the job is done by the quest NPC's helping out.

I'm not crazy about the fallout from the quest, i.e., (spoiler, obviously) Wrynn trying to start a fourth war by blaming everything on Thrall and Sylvanas. I just dislike the idea of yet another hotheaded human starting another unecessary conflict. I was hoping that he would turn out to be a wise king. Sure, his best bud was killed, but it's nothing that can be laid at the feet of the Horde. I actually kinda-sorta like it when the Horde and Alliance are able to work together...at the beginning, Bovar and Saurfang show a camaradarie seldom seen outside of beer commercials.
Anyways. What is the red dragonflight there for? Mop-up operation?

I haven't started doing any of the quests yet...is this something that's already implemented? Does it happen with only certain select quests, or do the all affect the world around you?

To be fair, he does provide a bit of reason to this, primarily that he has spent ages fighting his way back to Stormwind only to see his closest buddy and his son's mentor slain by the Horde. Also, it's only really Jaina that's the link between Horde and Alliance, as evidenced in the follow-up questline (Battle for Undercity).

Sort of, they're cleaning up after the events and making the place 'livable' again. They're running the show in Dragonblight after all.

It's implemented in a number of places in Northrend already, but iirc it's not until Dragonblight you see it for the first time.
