can i have a macro that lets me change from tanking gear, to dps gear. (including weapons, rings and trinkets)for a warrior
Post by
HighFive
/equip <item>
/equip <item2>
etc...For weapons, rings and trinkets/equipslot 16 <main hand>
/equipslot 17 <off-hand>
/equipslot 11 <upper ring>
/equipslot 12 <lower ring>
/equipslot 13 <upper trinket>
/equipslot 14 <lower trinket>If you run out of space(very likely), instead of item names type "item:
ID
".
If you still cannot fit it in one macro or do not want to go through all the hassle, install an addon such as Outfitter, ClosetGnome or ItemRack(there are many others).

Outfitter
is equally cool. I haven't tried
ItemRack
yet, though...

Get the addon ItemRack. IT will let you configure items sets and switch between them with a click of a button.
(Normal rules apply - you can only switch weapons if you're in combat.)
Actually you can only swap Armour out of combat. You can swap Weapons and Shields any time (except when you're dead.)

Just a second ... kal said you can only switch weapons in combat. You said actually you can swap armor OOC but weapons and shields in combat. Isn't that the same thing?

Looks like it, with ItemRack, if you hit the keybind to switch armor while you are in combat it will switch the weapons immediatly, but when you leave combat it will finish switching your whole set

Yeah, I knew that, I was just wondering what he was trying to say because he set up his post like it was contrasting something but he just said the same thing as the person he quoted.

I was trying to say "Looks like it" to you but the rest was just a comment on itemrack, you may have known that, but others may not have, the remainder of the post was not directed at you.

Bleh. Right on :).

I think Fizzles was just trying to clarify the phrasing. The phrase "
you can only switch weapons if you're in combat
" could be misinterpreted as "You cannot swap weapons out of combat" instead of "You can swap weapons whenever, but you can only swap armor when you're out of combat". It would be hard to pick up the wrong meaning given any understanding of the game, but...
