Death Knight races - some should be removed

I haven't looked closely on the new death knight stuff, but i've seen pics and talents.. etc about it. Is it true that all races can be death knight?
If that's true, Gnomes definitely should be removed from being a death knight. They don't fit the class at all. If that's the case, then they should balance both sides, and remove a race from the horde in eligible of being a death knight.
Just wondering why all races can be death knight but only two can be druids, 6 can be priests, 5 can be warlocks, etc.. I don't think this is a good idea at all.

If you're here to discuss it, you're in the right place.
If you're here to suggest it, you're in the wrong place.
But if you're here to discuss it, I think Blizzard is currently working on which races are able to be Death Knights.

Of course i'm here to discuss it.
I've just looked at the death knight FAQ, it says all races can be death knight. I hope blizzard isn't serious here. they don't see it yet, but once wotlk launches, it will be out of control and too late to change and correct stuff. They should just follow the lore and distinguish the spare races from being death knight.
ex: human and undead should be the two only races that can become death knight. If that's not good enough, then throw in blood elf and dwarf. Hopefully, that is good enough to satisfy those crazy dk fans?
If some of you think that will be a problem, then think of the druid class. Only 2 races can be druids, but 4 can be death knights, I think that is fair and well balanced.

please explain why
lore made you laugh? you have a problem with lore? what is this game based on? think
edit: did blizzard make the druid class based on lore? yes they did, only night elves and taurens were druids, and blizzard did the right thing making them the only two races that can be druids.
So why not do the same thing for death knight?

Can you reference the lore that says only a few races can be Deathknights? That might help. Or are you suggesting that Blizzard creates lore that limits the DKs?

Unless I am wrong a death knigt is a man ( or a gnome ) corrupted by the power of the lich king. Some may have given their soul to Arthas for additional powers or a way to get revenge. Others could have surrender to avoid a very painful death followed by a eternity of damnation.
I don't see why gnomes ( or all of the others races ) can't be the victims of such destiny, Arthas want to conquer and enslave all azeroth, not just humans.
P.S: I really don't know much about WoW lore, All I remember is based on w3 and such.

Quoted for truth.
A Deathknight (this kind at least, keep in mind the meaning of a Deathknight has changed throught the lore) is simple somebody who has become corrupted by a desire for more power.
Everyone is succeptable to corruption, it's not about "this race isn't Bad@$$ enough to be a DK"

I think all the classes should be opened up to all the races. Even D&D got rid of that stupid limitation eventually.
Undead druid ftw?
I'm open for more race/class combos, but the aforementioned undead druid just doesn't seem right...
I dunno, skeletal cats and rotting moonchickens would be pretty fun.

There are gnomes in the plaguelands and everywhere the scourge has been, i don't see why gnomes shouldn't be able to be Death Knights?
