1. Get bongos
2. Map all your main skills to keys AROUND the WASD keys. Use those 4 for moving forwards and backwards, and strafing. No need for turning keys (slow and useless).
3. Overwrite the useless "shortcuts" like 'c' for character, 'z' for sheathing etc. Yeah they can be handy, but they're MUCH more useful as actual skills. Don't work around them, overwrite them.
As a rogue I've worked both Sub and Combat spec into pretty much the same layout. The most used things go either on Q, E, R, F or C. These are the easiest keys to hit with your left hand. Using the layout above I have access to over 15 buttons (12345qertfgzxcv) without even having to stop moving. Memorize your keys by playing enough, and then use bongos to remove them from your screen. It frees up viewing space, and there's no point in seeing buttons on your screen if you know the shortcuts (and you should).

esdf are far superior movement keys imo. No sideways movement, use s and f for strafe in combination with your mouse and it makes for a fluid movement, which is essential for any rogue. Ever tried backstabbing someone while using 6 movement keys? Its just lol.
I posted this in the other thread, figured a repost would hurt.
if you have big hands, it's more effective to use esdf as it frees up more keys to use. Bind s and f as left and right strafe and have no sideways movement keys using right click mouse and dragging it to turn. Once you get used to it, its superior imo than having to use two extra buttons for left and right. My keybindings are as follows:
1: Invuln belt/battlemaster trink/healthstone macro
2: rupture
3: vanish
4: trinket one (usually pvp trink), shift+4: trinket two
5: snd
q: blind, shift+q: prep
w: kick, shift+w: wotf
a: kidney shot, premed while stealthed
z: sprint
x: evasion
c: ghostly strike, sap while stealthed
v: eviscerate, garrote while stealthed, shift+v: envenom
g: hemo (g is always my main attack), cheap shot while stealthed, shift+g: cloak of shadows
r: gouge, ambush while stealthed, shift+r: deadly throw
y: spare keybind, usually for adrenaline rush when I spec combat, shift+y: shiv although I think there might be a better place for it
h: expose armor, shift+h: thistle tea
b: mh weap swap macro, shift+b: offhand weap swap macro
j: reply to whisper
u: bandage, shift+u: cannibalize
6-0 are various gear swaps
spacebar is jump, shift+space is unbound because in a bg it will toggle the scoreboard while you're trying to fight
My mouse has a button on the side which I use for shadowstep or cold blood mutilate.
I also have ms up as distract, ms down as adamantite grenade, shift ms down as frost grenade.
This is a repost from another thread, I didn't feel like retyping it.

I think binding your most used spells around your movement keys is the best way to go about it. I moved my movement keys to E, D, S, F so i could use Q, W, R, T, Y, A, Z, X, C, V, and B for spells. I use G for target nearest enemy.
For the spells I use in certain circumstances such as Banish or Seed of Corruption on my lock, or switching forms on my druid, i use Bartender3 mod to make the action bars more easier to click on quickly. My keybound action bar is hidden, except for the abilities that have a cool down such as Death Coil, or Faerie Fire.
Also using the mouse wheel up, mouse wheel down, and mouse wheel click for your most important "oh *!@#" spells is good. On my lock I have Death Coil on mouse wheel click, Drain Life on mouse wheel down, and Searing Pain on mouse wheel up. My druid I have my healing spells bound to mouse wheel, and use A to target nearest friendly target.

I recently found somethin which i nvr actually thought of b4 wen keybinding, i replace the zooming in and out with the mousewheel with keybindings ie. got charge/intercept on mousewheel up, hamstring on mousewheel back and execute on click of mousewheel, i found this REALLY useful as i found it was even easier and quicker to do than pressing 1-4 or C key etc., mite b helpful 2 some1 else out there :)
