What is Paladin levelling like in WotLK?
pre-bc it was a nightmare as ret. I actually considered killing myself many times on the way to 70.
Should I spec prot to level to 80?

My tip is (for the love of GOD) stay in school and learn to spell.

I find that people truely underestimate the power of a holy paladin, having spent a lot of time as both Prot and Holy, the best class for questing, AoE grinding etc is holy by far. And now with the new addition to the spell cast delay/interrupts (only 2 attacks slow your cast, after that it casts as if you were not being attacked) you can grab 20-30 mobs at a time, lay down a concecrate and chain heal. Sure as prot you take less damage, but you also have much less mana and spell damage, meaning your gonna die quicker anyway, and you wont do as much damage.

I leveled my pally prot from 10-70. I know that is probably wacko, but that is what I did. I have done some time in Ret spec and thought that was what I would use in WoLK. I got on the PTR and gave it a whirl. Ret spec with the new talent tree is freaking outstanding. You not only can do massive damage to a single target, you can also take down multiple targets and no longer have to worry about pulling multiple mobs. You now also have a CC if you need to sleep a mob to concentrate on others. It is super.
I would say it will be likely be best to level Ret 70-80.
