First off I would like to state that I am posting this because I enjoyed the versatility that these 2 particular classes to be able to spec in a way that wasn't just "Best Healer" or "Best DPS". I enjoy the classes that can give up those titles to be able to have versatility against most classes. That being said, most druids will be familiar with the dreamstate build which focused on wrathing the opponent and healing touching when low on health. Most warlocks will be familiar with the "Drain Tank" build also known as SM/SL or SL/SL. I wanted to post my plans for both in wrath in a pvp aspect, (non-pve).
Deamstate
http://wotlk.wowhead.com/?talent=0xGboicsAd0VZZfVzuVzxbWith "spell power" coming out I really, really wanted to make a class with a spec that can heal and dps. Now I know that resto druids get tree form auras, hots, and flourish but why do you really have to focus on all of that when you can have a .5 second healing touch after every crit you make?
Healing Touch will be changed into a 3 second cast. With this spec you can also reduce your cast by .5 seconds into a 2.5 second cast. Now if you crit you also get a .5 second faster cast with the talent Nature's Grace bringing your healing touch to a 2 second cast. With the Glyph of Healing Touch (while it will reduce your amount healed by 50%) it will reduce your cast time by 1.5 seconds thus making it a .5 second cast when you crit and a 1 second cast when you don't. It is faster than an instant cast automatically. Now, I don't have confirmation that glyphs and talents can stack in such a way, but until tested and proven otherwise it is a theory that I am very hopeful for.
What about the damage? So you give up some very important talents. Personally, I think the biggest sacrifice is by not having earth and moon. Team up with an unholy paladin and you are good. You won't have the haste aura, but 25 people are not counting on you to have it anyways. You won't aoe as much but then again in PVP you usually are focusing on 1 target while trying to not break cc. There are some major sacrifices to dps but otherwise this talent spec otherwise focuses on wrathing as often as possible and critting as much as possible.
I personally believe in a pvp standpoint that being able to heal yourself with healing touch and wrathing as much as possible should put hybrid back in boomkins.
Drain Tank
http://wotlk.wowhead.com/?talent=0xGboicsAd0VZZfVzuVzxbOk, so before WOTLK all you did was dot a target to hell and back and drained him while your felpuppy ate all his buffs, silenced him, and soaked some damage for you. FYI this is the same exact concept but with a full affliction build. This time you have unstable affliction, haunt, mana tap, a pet that can regen mana in combat, 80% avoidance to pet with aoe, and still the most OP spell in the world....fear! Basically if you can keep your distance, land your dots, have your pet attack and drain life you should come out on top. Sorry I don't have more awesome info than that but it is pretty simple. Just fear, dot, and drain. Kill, heal, lifetap, kill, kill, kill repeat. The best thing is it gets better with a buddy with the same spec.
These are my 2 op specs I have right now. I bring them to you to trash or to theorycraft. If anyone has any conflicting information or anything they want to suggest I am all ears. I am posting this so that you can look at it and say that will get nerfed or say that I can't do it beacuase of ......fill in the blank. I am not going to get my hopes up until I can post this to the public to be shot down. Tell me what I don't know yet. Thanks.
