Best Weapon type in Wotlk? (PvP)

First of all, is it possible to switch between Blacksmithing specs (Macesmith to Swordsmith for example) somewhat conveniantly? If so that would essentially resolve the conflict in itself.
If not, I want to know what the best (projected) weapon type will be for a PvP warrior in WotlK. I was planning on going Mace to get Stormherald, but Mace stun will apperantly be removed in 3.0, so if Mace is no longer the best I want to know in advance.

You can switch through them if you want, but can only equip each specialties respective weapons if you are that specialty. Only axesmiths can equip the axes from master axesmith. Same with the swords and maces. You also need to pay 100g to switch specialties as far as I know.
I would hope that you would change your mind about the stormherald when WotLK comes out. Or Any of the current epic two handed weapons. The mats required to make them are not worth it unless you plan on staying in the 70 range. I would wait to get one of the new 2h weapons, if you're plan is to wait until WotLK comes out.

Thanks for the info on the switching BS spec.
This weapon decision isnt for WotlK though, what I meant is I want to get a new weapon to PvP with right now, so I was thinking Stormherald.
But I dont want that decision (Going Mace) To impair me when WotlK DOES come out, assuming Blacksmiths will have good weapons again.

Swords are better than maces, but maces are better for small-group PVP (stuns are handy). However, when it comes to blacksmithing weapons as they are currently: the two-handed blacksmithing weapon is the poorest choice of all three having the lowest damage & the worst equip effects.
