I think you'd want it regardless. In WotLK most casters are sharing the same loot, therefore lock gear will have stats like Spirit and crit on it, and we'll have the talents to make that itemisation work for us.

That said, specific number crunching is useless at this stage - there are too many bugs floating around for the Devs to properly tune dps talents yet.
