Alchemists get Mixology, Miners get Toughness, Skinners get Master of Anatomy, and Herbalists get Wild Growth.
I propose that Tailors get a "Precision" buff that passively increases the chance to hit by a small amount, or a "Nimble Fingers" buff that actively increases the haste rating by a small amount.

True, but if the other professions get it, then why can't tailoring? Keep in mind that Alchemy is NOT a gathering prof, yet it still gets a passive bonus. The same goes for Inscription (scribes are supposed to gain one additional glyph slot)

Well, to each his own. I for one think that if some professions get a certian buff, all the others should follow suit.

It gets a passive buff because it has VERY little in the way of profession only items (a single lack-luster trinket, and come wrath endless potions, but nothing in the way of anything overtly useful).

The crafting profs' buffs are the bop items, such as great epic gears or in wrath a lot of them have personal enchants (much like the ring enchants of todays enchanters: gloves and belt enchants from bs-ing and tailoring and engineering to name a few) heaven forbid you have to skill up and use money to get the buff, oh well.
