Hello guys here i am again with some questions!
i just dinged like a week ago, but i havent played as much as i would like :P (i have the bad habit of working lol) but the weekend is near and im going to play a LOT, so here are some of the questions and advices i would like u guys to help me with
first of all here is my Armory sheet:
Haldír
i farmed honor and tokens last weekend, i was lv 69 but i enjoyed playing on BG with my protection talent build xD and i exchanged a wonderful
Merciless Gladiator's Gavel
and i added the +40 spell damage, so right now im nearly an treat machine :P and it improved my AoE Grinding a lot, but i feel like i have low health and the last lv 70 man instance i ran, was a failiure :'( the healer told me that the enemys eat my hp so freaking fast that he could not heal, however, i think he overreacted, cause we killed the first boss ;) not sure, u guys please rate my gear
so, i want to get the
Righteous Armor Set
but since i could not properly tank one lv 70 instance i guess ill be a while till i get it =/
so i bought new PVP Shoulders, Gauntlets and leggings, they have some good stamina and spell power update from my old ones (i had some pally instances blues)
can u guys suggest me wich gems to get on them?
do u think the Feel Steel set would be better than the current equipment i have?
any other suggestion please?
thank u all guys
oh by the way iwould not like to change my AoE grinding specc xD

Hello,
here are some quick tips.
1. go to warrior forum and read up on the tanking and gear thread. it will show you all the gear you want to be getting your hands on.
2. Start running heroics and try to get into Kara.
3. Go full speed at getting exalted with Shattered Sun, and revered with Keepers of time. Keepers of time has the best tanking pants you can get. SS has shield, sword and neck peice.
the PVP shoulders w/ spell damage on them, then the tanking enchant, are awsome to use, untill you can get the kara shoulders / set gear.
The righteous armor is awsome for blue gear but there are bits and peices that mix and match well. your best friend for gearing up is SHIELD block rating. ignore all the other stuff and get that. ignore geming for socket bonus, get all 12-15 stam gems. once you start filling out into epic gear, then you can start changing things up with gems.
finally, if you are having a hard time tanking instances to get gear, switch to holy and heal them, so you can collect badges and unwanted tanking gear. it is just easier to get healing gear, and heal a heroic or normal instance, then it is to tank it. thats imho.

Pre-Kara itemz
Righteous is nice, Felsteel is nice too. Depends what you want or need. Just keep in mind that the sweet hammer you've gotten yourself+the enchant+wizard oil will give you all the spell damage you need for Kara, so don't get too many Righteous pieces. Don't forget about the helm enchant - it hurts to give 100g every time you change head-pieces, but you'll need to do it at least 4-5 times before you get into T5 content.
I'll disagree with Thelna about the gemming, your goal (since we are still in TBC, and crushing blows are still kicking) is to get yourself Uncrittable (495 defense) and Uncrushable (total of 102.4(?)% Avoidance with Holy Shield), and that's where gems help.
Enduring Talasites
help if you are close to hitting your Defense cap, since they will help towards it, but also give stamina; Talasites are also cheap.
Flashing
and
Subtle
Living Rubies add up towards Avoidance, if that's what you need.
Libram of Repentance
is another thing you should aim for, since it helps big time against your Uncrushability score.
And a lot more, go read the guide.

No, your healer was correct. You were doubtlessly a pain in the keester to heal with the gear you had when I first checked, and you don't have a huge amount of health so there isn't much of a cushion for him.
Our goal is to get your gear in shape for easy heroics and Karazhan OTing ASAP. Don't worry - it won't take long.
Reading assignments:
Pre-raid tanking
at Maintankadin
Eanin's Failsafe Uncrushability Guide
at Maintankadin
Crushing Blows, the attack table, and how it all adds up
at Maintankadin
I see you've picked up the Felsteel set, which is an excellent upgrade for you.
Action plan:
Respec. Improved Retribution Aura is terrible. Improved Seal of the Crusader is not a tanking talent. At your gear level, Toughness is mandatory.
SSO dailies for the Sunward Crest
Get some help and run the quest chain in Netherstorm for Dabiri's Enigma
Steamvaults for Cenarion Expedition reputation and the Revered necklace, as well as the Devilshark Cape.
Shadow Labyrinth Soul Devices quest rewards the Sha'tari Wrought Armguards
Mechanar and Botanica as part of the "How to Break Into the Arcatraz" quest chain. The chain rewards an excellent tanking belt, and you can get the Jade-Skull Breastplate to drop in Mechanar and the Spaulders of the Righteous in Botanica. The Dath'remar Ring also drops in Mechanar
Old Hillsbrad and Black Morass until Revered with KoT for your helm enchant. The quest chain involving these two instances will also get you Andormu's Tear
Optional pieces: PvP - Merciless Gladiator's Shield Wall, Crafted - Bracers of the Green Fortress, Belt of the Guardian
That will put you at 10k+ health unbuffed, uncrittable, and ready to OT Karazhan. Libram of Repentance and a dodge enchant on the cloak will make you uncrushable as well. Pick up a few stamina pieces or get a couple of drops from Karazhan and you'll be set to begin on the easier heroics.

This guy is wrong. Sorry Dunsinane, but your standards are a bit too high.
Note the bolded portion. It's important.

This is why his defense is so high. When I first checked that afternoon, he was sitting at 411 defense and 9k health with garbage avoidance. So no, he wasn't going to survive as a tank on a 70 instance, let alone a heroic.
But yes, his current state is much better. I'd be comfortable with him as a tank for the normal instances I listed... okay, Black Morass might be trouble without a good healer.
