Your college is probably blocking either WoW's ports or actively blocking WoW connections. You can circumvent this by using some form of tunneling. You should look into the program HTTP-Tunnel and set it up with a SOCKS server.

I know this is a shameless necro, but i rather do it than creating a new topic when the issue is the very same.
My issue is the same as the first poster, but i have a second question to add: Is tunneling a legal action? I don't really think asking for permission to play WoW will do it - this is a "Research and development" type of connection and people are supposed to use it as such.
