As Wrath is removing crushing blows, am I right to assume that Death Knights (among other tanks) can quite easily use PvP rewards to tank PvE situations?
For example,
http://wotlk.wowhead.com/?item=40779
is heavy in these tanking friendly stats:
- Strength: dps, threat and parry
- Stamina: durability
- Crit: more threat
- Resilience: crit reduction
It may still be difficult to achieve crit immunity this way for raid bosses, but it feels that PvP gears can be quite easily adapted to 5 man's (incl. heroics).
Please let me know if I'm missing something...

That won't happen, due to the fact that they are changing the pvp gear so it won't be usefull in pve. defence rating>>resilience
The current model
http://wotlk.wowhead.com/?item=40779
is still designed with similar stats as TBC PvP gears. Agreed defence is better than resilience, but my point was that PvP gears are a lot easier to farm and can always serve as a good starting point.

you're still better off going with defense as a deathknight. If you're a few points short of crit immune you could probably fill in with resilience, but we get enough out of defense to make it more valuable to us than it is to feral druids, who often use resilience because defense only gives them small amounts of dodge.
and the thing about changing resilience so it "doesnt work in pve" was withdrawn, it will still work.
