If this topic is taboo, please just delete it.
But, I was wonder what exactly happened with the contest? I have heard a few different explainations/theories such as people using a program to download Wowhead's image database and do an image match to find them. People selling the prizes, etc.
Could a Wowhead administrative staff be able to shed some light on this? I personally thought it was one of the more creative and fun contests that the site has hosted and it is a shame that certain people had to exploit and ruin it.
It was a little shady that people were submitting the results in 5 minutes or less. If I had to say so, the day two winner, Orca, would have been one of my guesses for exploiting.
Again, if this topic is inappropraite, please just remove it.
Thanks Wowhead for keeping a heads up for those who actually legitimately were trying to win and keeping it real (lol) for the general public.
Good luck in the next contest.

Because of the determined efforts of a few of our less fair-minded users, we've been forced to cancel this contest until we can find a way to distribute these WWI cards that's not open to exploitation. I thought the contest winners could be trusted to play fair, but apparently this is not the case.
From the announcement.
We're not lying - some people figured out how to unfairly beat the system, and as a service to the people who actually participated fairly in the contest it was canceled to avoid the dishonest from profiting from it.

I think he wanted a more detailed explanation (how they did it etc.). I'm curious to know myself.
Also, did the winners from Day 1 and 2 get their cards? Were they cheaters?
