Now before i start alot of people will probably not like what i say and tbh im not rly bothered just wondered if other ppl had had similair experiences.
Basically, i believe that since the release of blood elves there have been more and more silly little kids playing horde side. Now im not trying to say that kids are annoying to play with... i mean i started playing wow when i was 14 nrly 3 years ago now but i always felt i was always willing to learn from ppl who offered advice on my spec and/or playstyle.
Before now i wasn't rly that bothered by the amount fo idiot kids who play horde side because i stuck to my 70's. However while lvling my shammy i grouped up with some people for SFK, now all was going very smothly untill we got to the 2nd boss, the mace our pally tank wanted droppped but he did not win it. He promptly announced, and i quote ' Oh well guys have fun that was all i was here for' at which point he HS. I /w and asked why he would do that and he casually replied 'no point in doing summin which i dont benefit from' i told him he was an idiot , /ignored him and tried to find a replacement.
After a few minutes we managed to get another belf pally who after the 3rd boss did not win the 2nd mace. This time he didnt even explain why he was going he just left party and HS. when i asked why he again said summin along the lines off i dont need anything therefore i dont wanna do it'
It does seem to me that belfs seem to have the same appeal to young and immature ppl which nelfs had bck in the days of vanila WoW. Maybe its just me being very judgemental but i definately will be grping with as few a belfs as possible just so that i dont have to constantly keep looking few new members coz something didnt go the way some selfish little 12 yr old wanted.
P.S. Id like to remind u that this is not a grpie against young players just selfish and ignorant ones.

I don't really like blood elves since the people that play 'em are usually as arrogant as they are. But I love messing with their heads in rp :P

My alt is a belf female, for the simple reason that in my opinion, priests look better as female models, and belfs have the best female model.
Wish I could do something about the /silly tho'.
Our Guild Master is a male belf priest. And he's one of the most mature, level headed players I know.
One of our main healers is a belf pala. She's a very mature player, and great at her class.
Bad assumption is bad.

Speaking for myself ( I am an adult ), I tend to choose the race due to the lore that I find most interesting in the game. I choose the class as the "type" of person I am and the playstyle of that class. For instance I like the history of the Undead and Blood Elfs and those two races are all that I play on Horde side.

I rolled an belf to play pally, as I didn't want to reroll alliance. I am pretty sick and tired about hearing that all Belfs players are idiots. Grow up.
Which is the ONLY reason I don't exclude Belf Pallies from my groups.
I've yet to meet a non-Paladin Belf who wasn't either incredibly noobish or incredibly selfish.
Paladins seem to be 50-50 between noobish/selfish and "fun to play with", like all the other races are. I assume because a large number of the Belf pallies are Belves by class choice, not because the particularly want to be Belves.

Personally, I hate belves.
But not for anything related to the people playing them. No.
They just creep me right the ^&*! out. Seriously.
But then, I say the same about Nelfs, Gnomes and to a much lesser extent, human males.
I guess it's a pity I play alliance - but I just don't want to give up on my Dwarf Pally.

It's not that all blood elf player are immature, but some times people who shouldn't even start play WoW, play it.
Oh, yes of course.
Some people shouldn't be allowed to play WoW. Obviously.
How dare they try something new that they may or may not like or may or may not be good at!

From personal experience it's not something that's restricted to BEs. Horde on my server are just full of selfish aholes BEs just do a fine of bringing fitting image to the !@#$%^ baggery. I mean when that stuff happens to you, it sort of makes sense that he had that "Goku" hair style with the 14 year old 3 hair goatee.
I think a lot of what you (the OP) is talking about comes from the reputation that Horde do well in PvP. Pre-xpac horde were for the most part decent guys, well more like a community of gamers you'd expect in a game. I suspect most of us were older and got a sense of good pvp early on while good ally PvPers were restricted to closed circles of friends. So in pugs horde usually dominated (im talking before x-server BGs here) while premades were even. So once all these changes hit there was a huge surge in kids who wanted to be horde and one thing led to another and hence our current situation. I've been Horde since the start (i love orcs) but i have to say Alliance looks pretty good right about now.
