I don't know that stamina every really becomes useless, although the goal seems to be around at least 20k buffed.
Gnomeregan Auto-Blocker 600 is an awesome threat trinket, while still being able to be used defensively.
It's not an awesome threat trinket, but it is an awesome combination of decent threat and decent mitigation in one item.

Inevitably..when you hit level 70 you need to decide if your going to go the PvP route with your warrior or tank route. Each has its desirable attributes and you need to get the gear that have them. Trying to walk the fence, unless your extremely good, will get your nuts cracked. Your only other option is to acquire gear sets for both Tanking and PvP and then resetting your talent tree for your specific task of the night. I know a few people that do this. Running five dailies will pay for it or have the team or group pay for it.

Crit rating is bad for TPS compared to hit rating or expertise because a fair bit of your threat is contributed from the static component of your abilities. Cap your expertise and hit first.

Like Yakra, I take agility into account in all forms (critical strike chance, dodge chance, etc.), but I totally disregard critical strike rating when looking at tanking gear.
Why? It just isn't there. Critical strike rating isn't normally on items meant for tanking. It's really rather simple.
