I finally like to add in terms of pvp generally frowned upon is a light way to put it.
When i hit 70 i was an idot and used the bringer of death till i got a good mace and looked at my armor and nearly cried at the fact i went from 5.6k to 10.5k armor in one upgrade... so yeh in pvp thier is no choice about it even if the staff has 150 more SP id go for the shield just for the armor
(on a side note to back this up pvp ele shams get targeted by melle as much or more then healers)
