So is Silence of the Lambs, but they're just charging 25.00$ for that. The regular DVD is 89.99$ the Blu ray is 199.99$.
They have a special edition for 54.00$, which is still absurdly expensive for a single movie.

That's because they didn't have to get licensing rights to publish the movie in your country.

I just imported the region free version of the R18 Blu ray of the third Berserk movie, the production values of which easily dwarfs The Girl Who Leaped Through Time. Wound up costing me 6800 yen, comes out to about 65 dollars.
I love the movie, but damn 200 bucks for the Blu ray is expensive. Considering how few people actually pay for anime these days you would think they would make it easier for those of us who actually buy the DVDs to, well, buy the DVDs.

First off none of the animes I watched sucked in my opinion because I wouldn't of continued to watch them otherwise >.< so to name a few claymore, d gray man, rosario + vampire, anohana, black butler, ghost in a shell, demon king domio, angel beats, beck, another, blue exorcist, airgear, high school of the dead my list could go on and on but just wanted to put some out there >.<
should use myanimelist.com
It's a pretty good site where you can rate what you've watched

Anybody seen Attack on Titan yet? I've had it recommended to me by several people, but I haven't gotten around to watching it yet.

I'd read the manga first; the one Hax listed up there. If you enjoy the manga, move on to the Anime I suppose.
Also, the Xros Wars manga ended...and I love the fact that it references all of the previous Digimon Adventures.

I highly suggest you guys watch Kids on the Slope (Sakamichi no Apollon). I was not expecting an anime as high quality as it when I went into it, but it was directed by Watanabe, the guy who directed Bebop and Champloo

Finally bought my first Samurai sword, I figure every anime nerd needs at least one. I find it ironic that the ones made in China are !@#$ and the ones made in America are higher quality, given the the blade design has far eastern origins.

Aren't samurai Japanese?

Yea, but a lot of the far eastern cultures shared attributes back then, including weapon designs. There are some Mongol blades that likely share similar origins with samurai weapons. My main point was the're from the same region, so it's ironic that western manufacturers make a better design than the largest eastern manufacturer.

Because the ones made in America are made by blacksmiths and cost more, the ones from China are mass produced.
Neither hold a light to the proper Japanese ones though

So, thinking about watching either Pandora Hearts or Desert Punk. Has anyone watched either?
