Finally finished Bleach, or I think I did. Just finished the Fullbring arc. As with most of the anime I've seen lately, it seems like they just changed it way too much for no reason, only to bring it around in the last few episodes to something cool and then it ends.
Overall, I'm a bit disappointed.
It was actually cancelled for a so far unknown reason. Most people speculate it's because the anime caught up to the manga, which is still running. So it's most likely coming back at some point.

Yeah the manga is heading it's final arc, which is going to be everyone against the Quincies who were just 'hiding' for the last few hundred years apparently. Once the manga ends, there will more then likely be one last season of a Bleach anime...which is gonna shock people, since that would mean no filler lol.
Think Bleach learned the lesson from Naruto to a point: Naruto ended the Sasuke arc really early, and Shippuuden hadn't started yet, so they created 120 episodes of pure filler with no manga story lines appearing.......yeah; though, a few of the filler arcs are fairly good.

So, it's a good day for manga releases; Magi 101, new chapter of Fairy Tail and
Shingeki No Koyjin
is up as well. I really love that last one; it's an end of the world manga, where humans are preyed on by massive creatures called Titans(well, semi-massive, as some are only about 12 feet). If you haven't tried it, give it a chance.

And another good manga to pick up: Cradle of Monsters, a zombie infection on a cruise ship....really, saying anymore ruins it lol. But it's similar to High School of the Dead.

Does that site just post up manga scans? No subscription fees or the like?
Yup; free reading of mangas.

So, two more mangas to add to the reading list:
Ao No Exorcist
(which I found while watching an AMV); demons, exorcists and everything in between, and
Shakugan No Shana
; supernatural story about creatures that feed on living people and leave behind 'torches' which eventually fade away, removing all memories of those people from the rest of the world.

They just don't care; unlike One Manga who got scared lol. Actually I have a bunch of free sites lol; can check back on the first few pages to find them.

Ah. I don't read manga, I was just curious (besides which the images are 403 for me, presumably in a half-assed attempt to avoid corporate wrath). I'm not out to be the thou-shalt-not-pirate guy, but it seems a bit uncool somehow.
/shrug As most of the scans are done by teams, who put in the time and the effort to clean up and translate the manga, it's entirely possibly Mangafox really doesn't care, and they'd rather just get out the chapters as they come up.
Myself; I love the fact that I can read my favorite mangas, and find ones that wouldn't make it over here for years(such as Shingeki No Koyjin) on a fairly regular basis without having to deal with dumbing down of them, as some of the translated manga companies did(Tokyopop was really bad for that).

Yeah, pretty much any manga you find online is scanned by a team of translators and cleaners, same as subbers for animes.

With the resurrection of Toonami tomorrow night they seem to be adding 2 new animes to the roster.
One called
Deadman Wonderland
as well as
Casshern Sins
.
Will probably watch the first episodes and depending on how much I like them I may look for subs online or just wait for the dubs to air.

So...this is 'truly' it for Bleach, they are heading into the End Game now as the War between the Quincies and Soul Society is ratcheted up....by wiping out a squad we've barely seen lol.

Hello. /wave
I don't really feel qualified to discuss anime beyond the few kid's shows I've seen (Pokemon, Digimon, Yu-Gi-Oh!), but I'm curious to know people's opinions on something I've noticed among some anime fans.
I sometimes browse music videos for japanese Vocaloid songs (
explanation here
), and over the past few years, it never fails I'll run into some kid leaving a comment to the effect of
"bawww japanese stuff is so much better than american stuff, i hate being american! TTATT"
Which strikes me as really shallow/ignorant. I know one of the main draws of asian media is how strange and exotic it is, but that doesn't mean it's "better" than western media, just different. Also, there's no need to belittle yourself for being from a different country/culture, you're you - pride yourself in that.
I imagine most of these comments are from teenagers with confidence issues, so while irritating, they're kind of understandable.
Has anyone else noticed this?
