A lot of posts I'm seeing here are talking about farming M+ for the same ilvl gear, but I don't see many posts predicting a bump in M+ difficulty for Season 4 like they did with Season 3.
400 Ilvl catch up gear nice! more bull^&*!. Wonder when they'll fix the useless chest you get once a week, or the amazing RNG! Maybe tomorrow I'll get 430 boots for the 4th week. I can only hope!
the amount of grinding required by every single alt you want to play to be considerable "viable" for endgame content renders this catchup gear pretty useless to anyone who doesn't have an enchanter. I guess it's just for the new and returning players' mains.
BFA through the entire xpac has not been alt friendly. This 8.3 patch seems to be following in that path. Weapon upgrades for your main are a challenge and almost impossible for your alts. I see no reason why they should bother with catch up mechanics for players that are behind or alts if they refuse to add all gear slots like weapons and trinkets. Simply a waste of development time and resources imo.
This is nice for folks who have no time or patience for Mythic and the wipes that inevitably occur when someone is watching Netflix and not paying attention.
if its catch up gear it should be lvl 110 then not 120.
As a casual player, I've wrangled 410-415 weapons for nearly all of my alts from an emissary chest. I had to get their ilvl up to 400 at least for something decent, but it can be done without going into mythics.
Not like Timeless Isle at all. The tokens only come from rares and the droprate SUCKS.
It would be a good idea if the drop rate wasnt so bad. Or if it was a single BoA token armor type like Benthic. Instead 4 armor classes, low drop rates and over all useless in the end. Especially since LFG norms now give ilvl 400...
