I am using quite a few pages related to online games that partially overlap.
There is curse gaming with their faboulus addon hosting mods.curse.com & mmo-champion news &database
There is the ZAM network with wowhead.
There is Warcraftlogs for raid performance analysis
There is askmrrobot for gearing optimization.
News overlap and database overlap to me seems like wasted energy that could be invested in new features or better articles instead.
The AskMRRobot site seems to be a lot better with picking gear than what the Wowhead "show me upgrades" system currently provides.
On a related note , wowheads handling of scaled items is confusing, not every item can be scaled to a certain level , the menu for itemlevel upgrades like warforged, titanforged or just scaled loot from quests that happened to become epic, is confusing. The menu seems to have redundant entries and linking from char pages over upgrade loot to something else seems to loose the upgrade level on occasion.

We love working with the community and in Legion the Wowhead team has tried to reach out to various communities and sites for partnerships. A good example of this is the front-page Mythic widget powered by Raider.io, and we have more collaborations planned with them. We also do work with WarcraftLogs - a good example of this is checking out the "problems" panel on boss fights which send players back to the Wowhead raid guide for more info. We've also tried to get more community members involved in Wowhead content, such as Fatboss for raid guides, and monthly lore spotlights by Nobbel.
We have reached out to many places over the years, but unfortunately not every partnership can happen because some sites may be affiliated with other companies for advertising or promotional deals. We are really happy with the partnerships we have set up though, and are always looking to improve them and expand our program in general.
