[Known / See Sticky] Out of Memory/JS errors for WH in Chrome

I have noticed that Wowhead tabs in Chrome seem to eventually crash with an "Out of Memory" error if I leave them open too long. It happens fairly quickly and over night reliably. I looked into this and it seems like there are a ton of javascript errors that continue to cycle through the console and never stop. It also looks like there are a bunch of calls not abiding by same-origin policy, tsk tsk.

This is quite annoying for me and I would like to know if Wowhead is aware of this and working on a fix. If not what is the suggested solution to this on my end? My current workaround is to not keep any Wowhead tabs open. Which is not a huge deal but it means I tend to check on things and visit the site less. Again, not a huge deal for me, but I am betting Wowhead would rather I spend more time on the site. :D

Wowhead is very aware of it...they just don't want to fix it. If you pay the $9 for an annual pass for Wowhead, you can "legally" have all of the ads on the site not load and then you won't get the errors any longer.
While I believe that this is akin to ransomware
, I do value all of the information on Wowhead and I've been an avid user of the site since 2011, so I paid the fee to get back the site that I've used so much.

Get uBlock Origin it does a good job at fixing all the crap wrong with this site. Also be sure to report the ads to both WoWHead and the advertisers themselves. This helps them keep pressure on WoWHead to follow better practices.

We are aware of the site performance issues, as jarycu stated. However, contrary to their statement, we
do
care. It's just not something we've been able to entirely fix yet for everyone. It's an ongoing issue and ongoing efforts are being made to mitigate and/or eliminate the issue.
We recently added a
Ad FAQ sticky
in this forum to address the most often asked questions in a comprehensive manner, it may be helpful to review it.
einherjarr, in the meantime, if you're going to stay on a Wowhead page for an extended period (while in game or overnight) I encourage you to click the little gray button on the top right-hand side of the site (on the very edge). That button will remove the ad blocks permanently on that page until you navigate away or refresh. Alternatively, if you notice the page beginning to lag, a quick refresh will usually resolve the issue (at least temporarily). All of this, unfortunately, varies from person to person and can vary based on the type of ads each person sees. If you believe a specific ad is being disruptive, please (at your discretion) follow the instructions outlined in our
Bad Ad sticky
.
I do apologize for the negative experience. I hope the suggestions may prove useful for you. Thank you!(##RESPBREAK##)2##DELIM##Sas148##DELIM##

I appreciate the response and I perhaps didn't make it clear in my post. But I get these issues even with ALL of my addons disabled. This means there is no ad block or any other sort of addon running that should interfere with the normal operation of the website. Is this a known issue? I will look into the pages you linked even so.
