What do you think will happen to Jaina?

Firstly, I don't think the Dreadlord Jaina theory will come true though it's funny -
BUT
I do think something similar could be happening.
If someone is more versed in her lore, correct me on anything or give me your thoughts. I'm a firm believer that she's being corrupted by N'zoth as a part of explaining furthermore why she's become so irrational and basically bat*!@# crazy apart from the bombing of Theramoore and perceived betrayal from the Horde.
I had 2 thoughts as to what could possibly happen with her character development:
She targets Khadgar and has eyes set on the power of being "The Guardian". She kills him, traps him, or anything that might elude to him missing and Azeroth needing a Guardian now more than ever as she's one of the most powerful mages on the planet, if not more powerful than him (that's debatable, but still) and then uses the
She goes nuts due to the corruption and then it convinces Khadgar to finally take on the role of The Guardian which may play a bigger part in defeating The Burning Legion?
It was all a dream and we all wake up.
*xfiles.mp3*
I don't personally foresee her returning back to her normal state. She's a few steps past the point of sanity at this point that I don't think recovering from would make sense.
What are your thoughts on her and where her character is going? Any theories of your own? :)

We'll end up killing her at some point, probably at the same time as Sylvanas, but it won't have anything to do with the N'Zoth. They just swapped character personalities when Varian mellowed out; apparently there always needs to be some Alliance leader raging and foaming at the mouth for war.
I'm hoping the next character move is for Kalec to finally drop her and get rid of that god awful romance and let the Blue go back to being the complete character he was before Tides of War.

The Jaina dreadlord meme is wide spread enough to become canon IMHO.
I think a Jaina raid tier is inevitable and is more of a when, a dreadlord would work in legion, same with old god if they try to make it a introduction to a old god expansion.

The problem with the idea of the Dreadlord possession is that she's shacked up with Kalec; fairly certain that he'd notice a sudden new fel energy swirling through her body, as well as the fact that wherever she goes, corruption follows. Plus, both Meryl and Alodi are active again, and they would be able to see something like that due to their own past experiences with Dreadlords, so they should be able to tell that there is something rotten in the state of Dalaran.

Hm, in the comics the dreadlord inside meryl escaped Aegwynns notice. And Kalec though the sunwell-thing was a human for the longest time. Medivh had sargeras inside him and no one noticed until it was too late.
In the rogue questline no one noticed the SI:7 was infiltrated by a dreadlord.
Also Jaina haven't been in the same room as a demon hunter.
But I'll say that dreadlords are the legion infiltrators, a raid tier dreadlord wouldn't be easily found by the likes of Kalec, Meryl or the suramar guards.

Aegwynn didn't have her power at the time though; Meryl knew he was there after all, and Alodi did sense it in the past, and that's pretty much the point of them opening up the Hall of the Guardian so that they can clear out Dalaran of any corruption. Though, Aegwynn did realize that there was something inside of Medivh; that's why he sealed her away in the first place, and the dragons figured something was up, hence how Nightbane was sealed away inside of Kara. Kalec thought Aveena was a human, but he still sensed the power inside of her. SI:7 doesn't have that many mages to figure things out. And Jaina has been in viewing distance of Demon Hunters; she's in the throne room in Stormwind when DH's show up and reveal that the Legion infiltrators are around.
Dreadlords are good...but only when no one knows they are there; the Alliance and the Horde are fully aware of them and are on the look out. If there was one in Jaina, they'd be able to tell.
And of course, the biggest thing for the Dreadlord possessed: They don't actually make bonds with the host body. They manipulate and drive people to extremes, but if someone had a wife/husband after they took over the body, they almost always drive them off, and that hasn't happened with Jaina and Kalec.

In terms of nightbane it was more of what medivh was doing rather than what he was. Same with Aegwynn, it was his actions (IIRC). As for the throne room. Jaina leaves in a hissy fit then the demon hunter arrives. And the whole, every guard is a demon (something no one noticed outside of the demon hunter)
I would also like to add as a argument that demon hunters rip out their eyes to be able to see trough the demonic illusions. I doubt finding a dreadlord is easy as the scarlet crusade have had two of them in their order without anyone knowing. A satyr managed to pose as a druid in felwood and no one smelled a thing.
Also I'm not too sure of the no bonding thing, as it could just be part of the play so to speak. A act needed to convince the bystander that she is who she claims to be and not reveal the truth. I doubt the ultimate infiltrator would act too out of character of the host. Kil'j used such a bond to influence Ner'zhul.

KJ was using an image of Ner'zhul's dead wife; that's a bit easier to manipulate someone instead of staying by them day in and day out.
If it was a Jaina meat puppet, the DH should have seen it right from the start; the Illidan book made it clear that a DH always sees like that when we use the ability.
There is still Meryl and Alodi though; those two have the most experience with Dreadlords, so if Jaina was one, they would have seen it by now and warned everyone about it.

Harder but very much possible.
Yes, though no demon hunter and Jaina have been in the same room.
Meryl and Alodi had some experience with the same dreadlord as the mage questline, yet that dreadlord used archmage Vargoth and no one noticed. Well, he started to act suspicious and there where thoughts of him switching sides.

The Xal'tath, Blade of The Black Empire whispers, "Her heart is a crater, and we have filled it." Do you think they are talking about Jaina and Theramore since it's now a crater and she was clearly attached to it?

I'd really like to see something else done besides her going insane and then us having to kill her. It seems that's a common theme with the powerful women in warcraft. I'd like to see her redeem herself somehow. Perhaps cleansing her after she assassinates Khadgar and have her step into the role as redeemed guardian. I feel like Khadgar's death is an inevitability. I don't really have any lore to support this feeling... I guess i just read way too many fantasy novels and have been playing wow for too long. :P

Not much of a trend for the ladies in particular. The other I can think of is Ysera and Azshara.
You might squese in Elisande, though her path was rational.
In contrast.
Deathwing, Malygos, Garrosh, Kael'thas, Illidan, Benedictus.
It's not a gender specific trend, but just a story cliche for us to get raid bosses.
Though Jaina is already crazy, she flip flops between kill horde and peace mode. It's not without reason the dreadlord meme started.

Ysera was corrupted though; like literally in this case, since the Nightmare got into her mind and that was what causing the madness as opposed to Jaina's insanity over Theramore and her outright fear/hatred of the Horde...even though the mastermind behind the event is now dead and can't ever do something like that again.
Azshara 'insanity' isn't; she's a self absorbed vainglorious extreme narcissist who believes that she is above the rest of world and only she is meant to rule over all. The whole Sargeras Queen thing was just how she thought the natural progression of her life should go. Accepting the help of the N'Zoth was because she refused to believe that She, the Light of Lights, could die. She's more of a sociopath then anything else, since to her eyes, the world is her toy and all of the people in are her play things to use as she wants.Heck, that's how N'Zoth is able to 'control' her so well...well by control, I mean It points her at things and pretty much says 'look at the shiny, think how it'll look on you, go get it'.
As for the males....
Deathwing/Neltharion: His corruption was kinda of expected, I mean you tied all of his power into the planet itself and that's where the Old Ones were sealed away, so the seeping corruption and the whispers were going to happen. But at the same time, DW was also arrogant and believed himself to be greater then all of the rest; after all, during the War of the Ancients, he attacked the Well and attempted to steal the Demon Soul back even though the Old Gods were screaming in his head to go back and let the Portal open completely so that They could escape their prison. Yes he eventually become a complete death seeker and united with them, but hey, what did you expect of the dragon who willingly took the name Deathwing.
Malygos: His madness was justified to a point. He saw his best friend turn on them all, kill 90% of his flight then attempted to destroy the world. He secluded himself from the world after more of his kind died in the Crystalsong Forest event. He came back out when the Netherwing dragons started to attack the Nexus, intending to absorb all of the magic there and he in turn ate them by consuming all of their magic and essence. He believed that he was doing the 'right' thing by taking magic out of Mortal hands...and he was semi-right in that regards since look at how many cataclysms and plain stupid things the Mortals have done over the centuries. It would have been nice to have him snap back, but then they wouldn't be able to do the horrible plot holes of Twilight of the Aspects and all the rest /roll eyes
Garrosh: Garrosh was an ^&*!@#$ plain and simple. We've discussed his 'madness' way to many times.
Kael'thas: He was a well intentioned extremist until he fell out of the Eye. Everything he did he did for his people, right up till he was turned into the zombie elf by the Legion and forced to go after the Sunwell again. Before the loss at the Eye, all he wanted was to use the Mana Forges to get endless magic to feed his people...the fact that shifting back to Azeroth with the Eye was probably going to destroy all of Outland well, that was both a 'good' and a 'bad' thing; yes the good people would die but so would the bad guys. After the setback, yeah he went generic villain, but we saw that coming after that god awful line in Rise of the Lich King and with Golden turning him into a pedophile who was hot for Jaina.
Illidan: Emo-king was always power hungry, right from the start and he had a massive inferiority complex because 'wawawa Tyrande didn't love me'. Now that he's the 'savior' it's a lot worse and I really hope that we're going to find out Xe'ra is some kinda of extremist who wants to spread the cleansing power of the Light through out the universe which will mean that all of these pawns will need to be sacrificed to do so.
Benedictus: His madness was due to the fact that he looked into the void aka Deathwing's maw before it rained down fire and destruction on Stormwind and he couldn't handle it. Anyone's mind would break after seeing something like that happen, and he went full on death bringer from there. It was horribly handled but it does make sense; a lot of people snap under PTSD situations after all.

That's actually almost every villain. Sargeras. Kael'thas. Garrosh. Deathwing. Malygos. Every villain touched by the Sha (every boss in Terrace of Endless Springs, Heart of Fear). With Chronicle, the Thunder King could also be included, IMO. I'm sure undead villains in ICC count there, as well. Multiple baddies in Karazhan. The QIraji, I think. Everything touched by the Scourge.

She is going to save us from the old god corrupted dwarves. You'll see mark my words. Moira whose heart is a crater that the old gods have filled (because she is a shadow priest) and her son Fenran the boy king with the three lies to tell will be the doom of us all.

After the blood elves attacked Dalaran and the Horde bombed Theramore, she's seemed pretty firmly on the KILL HORDE side. People don't need to be possessed by dreadlords to do terrible things. The most likely scenario for me is that she becomes so blinded by revenge that she does something unforgivable (I had money riding on this being the burning of Teldrassil, fingers crossed for Blizz to pull a 'gotcha' when BfA goes live :P) It's not insanity - it's just getting so caught up in your hate that you stop caring about who else gets hurt along the way. I see her being a raid boss, but not actually killing her.
