Who Should The Big Bad Of WoD Really Be?

(Sorry rank, I know you
loved
her but...)
Fixed that for you.
She's exactly like Jaina. I used to love Jaina, she was my second favorite character, but right now, she's only behind garrosh on my #$%& list. Zaela was my favorite female horde character, but the way they've butchered her character, she may as well had been killed. For all I care, she's only Zaela "in name only"
It's sad to watch as characters get butcherd. Zaela hates the old horde, yet she is now part of the reformed old horde. (dragonmaw rebelion)
Worse than the old horde IMO. The Old Horde were pawns of the legion, the "True Horde" are pawns of the old gods (even if garrosh thinks otherwise)
Well I doubt that they are pawns anymore; now that Y'Shaarj is dead*. Unless N'Zoth or the unnamed one(Ryun'eh?) has a connection to them somehow; they are free now.

And I am SERIOUSLY gonna facepalm if they pull the same "He's working for the old gods" card AGAIN.
I think it is Zaela (Sorry rank, I know you love her but...) using the dragon soul chains she used to enslave black dragon in twilight highlands on Kairoz. And Kai is doing all the work against his will. Possibly he will be unchained and work to undo his work.
I doubt it; I don't think you'll ever see the chain again, and I'm not sure it would even work on the Bronzes, since the power of Soul was shattered.

This one is, since It's taint is gone from Pandaria.

The Demon Chain
mentions the chains history, and it's power worked on a black dragon. Thought the black broke free and we had to kill it in
Fury Unbound
becouse it was unwilling to be a slave yet again. And Zaela made armor from the dragons hide...

Its still there and it still works. Dragonmaws after all managed to wrestle control on Black Protodragons. Having said that, its unlikely Kairoz is working under the auspices of the chain, because the chain reduces its victims to a near-feral state, they stop being sentient and become drooling raging beasts. Kairoz is far too refined and controlled for that.

He may be dead, but he was still able to taint and corrupt others, as seen with Malkorok and several other orcs who were infused by Sha.
My point is, that Garrosh's "True Horde" is in almost every way, worse than the Old Horde, because the old one was subjugated to the legion and legion corruption, and this one was subjugated and corrupted by Old Gods which are far worse than demons.

There isn't anything left to actually taint anyone, so if the big green orc woman is still evil, it's because she wants to be. They aren't working for the Seven Headed One anymore.

you misunderstand. I didn't said "The old gods made them evil" I said "they were tainted by the old gods and had we not killed them, they would had eventually become drones to their will just like the mantid"
You saw the mutations on the orcs there, and how some even became Harbingers to the Seven Headed One, there's a reason the Paragons threw their lot with Garrosh, because they knew he was acting on behalf of their master even if their master was long dead.
Garrosh himself says during his fight how "The old one calls to you" and how "The ancient one has shown me X and Y". I don't care what blizzard says, that's old god corruption right there.
Sure, this time around the old gods didn't made garrosh do all his crap, he did it on his own volition, but once the taint was done, they sealed their fate, and had we not intervened, we would had gotten a repeat of the downfall of the mantid civilization all over again, and the rise of the other old gods.

Every time you say that I think of when Blizz said that 'Y'Shaarj is very, very, very dead.' And lo and behold, as I predicted, he came back. I am a firm believer in the theory that if an Old God's body is destroyed, their spirit survives until a new body is regenerated, built or found.

There isn't anything to come back though; the Heart has been destroyed, it's body was eradicated long ago and now it's essence has been cleansed. You won't see the Seven Headed again, the forces made sure of that.

Except for its spirit. If Y'Shaarj was so easy to destroy and killing the heart would mean cleansing the sha,
then why didn't the Titans do that?
Post by
Adamsm
Because they didn't realize that it would do that. The Titans are not omniscient after all, and they had seen one of their friends die to the beast already so they sealed it up. And when it happened, there weren't really mortal races to tell that the Sha could affect them.
Post by
Stabhorn
They sealed a dead heart. They obviously vaporized his body, and they didn't bother doing it to the heart? (Important note; there actually is something left of Y'Shaarj after his second death;
I actually posted this screen shot.

Why do you want the Old Gods to be unkillable? Is it really that hard to believe that they can die?
Post by
Stabhorn
I don't want them to be unkillable. I just don't want mortals to, completely by themselves, easily defeat them with no repercussions and fairly little casualties when the Titans made this big deal about how they couldn't do it.

Adamsm
Which is why we've lobotomized two of them and finished off a third that was already dead and just an echo.

Let's hope they don't spoil the surprise too early as they did with Garrosh.
Agree that Kairoz might be a boss in dungeon or eariler raid - for the reason others may consider him unpredictable and thus dangerous with his time-altering abilities.

I still don't understand why they did that. They said it was "Necessary" but I don't see the necessity of it at all. I for one would welcome a mystery Final Boss that we don't really figure out until the final patch is already on the PTR (Where the datamining will inevitably spoil it for a lot of us)

Kairoz as the villain would be...rather weak. Take Malygos for instance; probably the most powerful spellcaster on Azeroth and a very strong dragon; yet ten or twenty ragtag mortals took him down. (Canonically, Alexstraza probably killed him.) But my point is, Kairoz is a regular bronze dragon with no distinguishing abilities, we could take him down very easily. I see him as a dungeon boss.

Ohh he is going to be A villain, just not THE villain. They said at blizzcon that he's working for someone else. There's someone who isn't garrosh out there manipulating the whole thing. I just hope to christ its not the old gods again. Them being "The man behind the man" all the time is getting annoying.

Actually no, he's the most powerful spellcaster in the world (as befitting the aspect of magic) and ten or twenty ragtag mortals TRIED to take him down....... and failed. Remember the third phase of the fight? Yeah, if those red dragons hadn't saved our bacon we would had died. We simply weakened Malygos, and left him ripe open for the red dragons to finish him off.
But my point is, Kairoz is a regular bronze dragon with no distinguishing abilities, we could take him down very easily. I see him as a dungeon boss.
Why can't he be a raid boss? we've faced several dragons on raid encounters, such as onyxia, nefarian, sindragosa, even an evil version of Nozdormu, and many many many MANY others. Its entirely possible that Kairoz will be one of the bosses of the final raid. If anything it would be disappointing that he was just a dungeon boss, considering he's the right-hand man of whoever the main bad guys really is.

Well, Murozond was a dungeon boss, and all the other dragons were very powerful, (Nefarion,) broodmothers, (Onyxia) or not really dragons any more, (Sinestra, Sindragosa,) I'm not saying he can't be a raid boss, I just think he's more dungeon material. I also don't see him lasting very long (Like Cho'Gall, who had an amazing build up, but died very early on.)

We'll see when the expac goes live but my gut tells me the opposite, it tells me that we may in fact see more of Kairoz than Garrosh. The latter will be disposed off early (Either in a quest, scenario, or at best a dungeon) while the latter will be a recurring antagonist that we may in fact never face in WoD but in the next expansion.
Also I'm really eager to find out who's he working for. The anticipation is gonna keep me in suspense for quite a while :P
