Please dont forget this player never played WoW >.>
1. Agility also gives ranged crit %.
2.Strength doesn't gives hunter attack power.. Only melee, which we dont use.
3.Intellect doesnt gives mana regen.
1. correct
2. Strength gives Attack Power - even for Hunters. (But it's correct, that you don't need it!)
3. That's not correct - The mana regeneration mechanics changed some patches ago and now Intellect will have an increased effect on the regeneration rate.

I am new to WoW and thanks for having a post like this one. However I have a couple of things to add.
1. If you go off and just explore the worlds, be prepared to die often and fast when only a lvl 2 or so.....I learned this from experiance. Lucky for me another player came by and helped me get out finally after dieing 10 times at least.
2. Join a good Guild. The help they have given me has been awesome.
3. Have fun and make friends.
Most of this has been covered but wanted to share my words as well. Thanks to all who have added their helpful notes.

1. Always take food/drink with you when you go out questing. Nothing is worse than having to stand around and wait for health and/or mana regen.
2. Always repair your armor before you go out questing. I don't care if it's at 99%... always repair up to 100% before you embark on a long series of quests or instances.
3. Get the largest bags you can as quickly as you can. The more stuff you can carry, the more efficiently you can quest.

These might be listed already, my eyes are sore so sorry if I didn't see them. My 3 would be:
1. Don't mash your number 1 key. It keeps turning your auto-attack on and off again. Learned that one the hard way.
2. Don't randomly invite people to group without saying anything to them, or they probably wont accept (in some situations I'm okay with this, like if I'm taking down a named guy for a quest and someone runs up beside me, then there's usually no time to discuss first)
3. Don't keep trying to duel someone if they didn't want to the first time. Nothing annoys me more than trying to mail stuff or sell stuff and someone keeps spamming me to duel. It results in them getting put on my ignore list.
(and some more)
4. Do ask lots of questions, like someone else has said. 10 people may say stupid things to you, but chances are someone will give you a decent answer.
5. Last but not least, bookmark this site! It's amazing for finding information, and if you search for a quest because you're stuck or don't know what to do, it doesn't call you a noob! lol.

(Dont be afraid to reroll)
2) Pick up 2 Gathering Professions
(Skinning and mining for example)
3) Dont be afraid to ask questions and make friends (Join a guild and have fun)

1. Invite your friends to play through the Recruit-A-Friend program. It is beneficial to you and them, plus, all your friends will play WoW too!
2. Pick a name for your characters that you like. The worst thing ever is to have a character that is amazing, but has a name that sucks. If needed, use the Randomize button for ideas.
3. Do NOT, I repeat, DO NOT BEG! Other players were in your EXACT SAME SPOT. They got by just fine and did not have to beg. You are no different than the 11million other people in this game, and begging only makes things worse.
ALSO: Pick a realm with a medium-low population. High populations have Queue times, which undoubtably SUCK. Too low populations have trouble doing ANYTHING. Pick somewhere inbetween.
