What kind of race would you want to be playable?

I'd personally like a playable Murloc toon. They're all over the Allied lands...why not have a sentient strain of them appear?

I personally would like Demons as a race I think the idea of a species from Hell, Spirit World, or the Underworld would be interesting.
That's not where Warcraft demons are from though....

Well, there clearly
is
a concept of 'Hell' in Azeroth, as can be gathered from various names (Hellfire Peninsula, Hellscream), so the idea that it is at least a synonym for the place where demons dwell is not that far off.
'New' races so far always followed the same pattern: their model must have been already in the game (Worgen (well, kinda), Goblin) or entirely new (Draenei, Pandaren) and they must be two-legged (which probably - and sadly - rules out Naga). 'Demons' will - probably - never be playable because they would require creating a third faction. There's also no *one* demon 'race' per se.
Murlocs, Ethereals, Furbolgs and Ogres are also rather unlikely because they do not feature female models - and after what Blizzard did to the female Worgen I do not *really* want to see female models of those races, to be honest.
Which leaves us with - High Elves (please, dear God, not *another* Elven race!). Maybe they introduce subraces (Dwarven clans, Tauren/Taunka).

Actually, there's not; it was retconned out a long time ago, following the first game, when the Legion was turned into an extra dimensional threat and not a pure supernatural one. The Demons also dwell in the Twisting Nether, which is a realm of darkness and madness, but not fire and brimstone.

If they ever make the Vry'kul playable, I'm really gonna have a squee :P
I think that's the one race that would make me seriously consider rerolling alliance if it wasn't added to the horde (Even though the Vry'kul culture really clicks better with the Noble Barbarian style of the horde, rather than the Knight in Shiny Armor of the alliance.)

since fanboys of them excist in masse on both sides and there aint any decent lore too place it in 1 faction exclusive.Horde would be the best choice....since you know, Night Elves hate them with an all consuming passion.

Mag'har, Ethereals, Arrakoa or the Sporeggar mushroom dudes. This way Blizz could update and add some content to Outland as well.

WHY MUST WE AGREE ON THINGS.
Otherwise, I'd say Nerubian would be interesting (If difficult to have mounts with).
it would reflect really good if they allowed us too choose a subfaction of a race, too show how the diversity of each race has grown.
Lets see, there's probably Stormwind, Kul Tiras and Lordaeron for humans, Bronzebeard, Wildhammer and Dark Iron for Dwarves, Frostwolf and Hellscream for orcs. Bloodhoof and Grimtotem for Tauren. Other possibilities could include the various other goblin factions joining in, and the option between Bloodfang worgen and "Civilized" Gilnean worgen.

Even once a month there has to be a full moon.

Lemme expand on this better:
Orcs: Mag'har (brown), Dragonmaw (Gray), Green orcs.
Humans: this one is a thoughie, because while there are several human nations, they are all using the same model, so how would one differenciate a stormwind human from a kul tiras or Lordareonian human?
Dwarves hit the jackpot in subfaction diversity. Bronzebeard, Wildhammer, Dark Iron, Frost Dwarf, Iron Dwarf, Stone Dwarf.
Gnomes: Normal gnomes, Mecha-gnomes and Lepper Gnomes.
Tauren: Normal Taurens, Taunka, and Yaungol. Also make the grimtotem tatoos available to other taurens.
Trolls: There's so many to choose from and so little time. Darkspear, Jungle trolls, Sand trolls, Ice trolls, and the completely reclusive and strangely missing Dark Trolls.
Forsaken: Make undead of other races maybe? I dunno, I'd be happier if they just removed these altogether >_<
Blood Elves: There's a lot to choose from as well, though I don't think any of the sub-options would like to join the horde or alliance. There's the San'layn, Felblood, and wretched.

horde: Leper Gnomes
Alliance: High Elves
It would be easy to do since high elves are just blood elves with different eyes, and leper gnomes are green gnomes. No new animations necessary, just a bit of voice acting. Lorewise High Elves fits right in and Leper Gnomes could be retconned into undead gnomes.

I would like to see either the Felguard demons or the Drakonid dragonkin become a playable race.

I would prefer that no new races be added until new racial models are done. I don't think much will be gained by adding new races and it will absolutely delay the new racial models being completed. I am perfectly ok with Bliz putting out an expansion that has no new races or classes in it.
I agree with this. Some races really deserve an update and the "25% done" progress update from a recent dev interview was a bit disheartening, I personally expected them to be further along.
That said, naga (despite the problems outlined earlier) is my personal pick. Inspired by Asa, ethereals as a close second, though I think they'd need a good bunch of lore added before introduction to make them fit.

Naga joining a faction: Queen Azshara is finally killed.
Naga outside of water: Seen in Warcraft 3, where Vashj and her forces followed Illidan and Kael in the wastelands of Outland without needing to be dunked.
Naga armour: Tail caps and kilts/skirts.
Naga mounts: Side saddle.
