It is not about rolling a new class and hoping that you can wtfpwn everybody, its about learning from your own mistakes and playing smarter. Read your class forums and seek for a pvp guide. Don't panic and try to plan ahead. Respecc if you want to and try to find your own playstyle, be patient.
What he said.
Yep. Not to mention, it's not really "ganking" if you're in a BG...killing the opposite faction is kind of the point...

Bingo. If there were one class that could absolutely dominate BGs with an idiot at the controls, that class would be all you ever saw in BGs (yes, rogues and hunters come close, but we're not getting into that).
Before you enter your next BG (with whatever character), accept these truths:
1) You will die, at least once, but probably more.
2) 2 rogues ganging up on you will probably result in your death. (2 of anything, really)
3) Kill the healers first
4) Then go to work on the casters
5) Don't get caught alone. If you are by yourself, at least two enemies will see you as an easy HK.
6) Stay close to a healer, and hope they know what they're doing.

I really like where this thread is going! this is actually one of the most constructive threads against people (like me) who QQ about getting PEWPEW'ed in BG's..!
so far so good - and keep the good info comming I really like the comments so far!
You wanna talk QQ? I started BGing mid-60s as a prot paladin. Once I realized how painful that was, I respeced to Ret, only my gear wasn't optimal. Then I started to get better gear for PvP when I got to 70, but little did I know that the 70 bracket was filled with guys in s3 gear who could 3-shot me all day long if I tried to go head-to-head with them.
So, after re-evaluating the BG situation, that's what I came up with, and BGs are plenty of fun. After all, WoW is just a game, and BGs are basically a game within that game. The only time that BGs aren't fun is when we lose an AV turtle match and get less than 100 honor for a 30-40 minute match.

Yea I have been 70 for months and just now I am feeling like I got a handle on pvp and I still am getting wtfpwned alot.
And gear, if you got crap gear dont expect to beat another player just becouse your class is better suited to kill there class

Dude, as any other druid you are primary target on both BGs and arenas :)
It's a fate for all healers I think.

Hehe, well, I will tell you from an experienced holy pally perspective. As a druid, you get the very short end of the stick if you are healing in AV. If there is a pally or priest healing, chances are your HoT's will only tick once or twice per. That's just the way it is. We top off and move on. You maintain. I get credit if I cast a heal of 2400 and the target only needs 600. Druid's call us greedy, it's not greed. When I'm looking at deficites on xperl(GO DOWNLOAD THIS ADDON IF YOU WANT TO SUCCEED AS A BG HEALER!) and I see a bunch of numbers, it's no good. I will heal everyone up if no one has aggro. That way I see the numbers drop, and am not trying to find the one that is taking the most damage.
A healer is fun to hide in AV. You can hide behind stumps and around corners and still heal. You can only not heal if you or the target is inside a bunker/tower and out of LoS that way. I was hiding behind a tree and spamming a solo s2 warrior with heals and he was attacking 5 horde at once and surviving it. I'm sure they were confused. LOL! The bonus of being a healer is you don't have to be in the fray. Stand behind the main group, or hide if you can. AoE spams are a big factor in AB, and if a group is rolling up for a face to face with some horde, they will send their aoe spammers. You being so low geared, will get wtf owned without seeing it happen. I recomend against standing in the main pack. Stand with the distance dps if you need to be in the open. Now, being a druid, you don't have to stand in one spot, so kite when you see someone after you. Run away, or around. Keep em close to the warriors, and they will give him a good smack down. That is how a druid is played. Hot key your heals so you can hit keyboard keys for all your heals. Don't try to click em. You should be using your mouse to move, not heal. The joys of pvp, is you can be getting owned, and move 2 steps forward and they lose you because you are now behind them. Other players have a latency issue, and make it hard to follow direction changes. Use this to your advantage.
Now, as feral, you have the same advantge. Keep moving. AV is a good place to practice this. If the other toons starts matching, start using sharp turns to get the advantage. The downfall of feral, is you have to be up close and personal. But feral is better in BG. Get good dps blues, and a good uncrittable tank set(aquired in blue, so you can tank drek), and enjoy the BG atmosphere while you grind for some healer gear. Resto is not really for BG. So don't feel bad. It does work, yes, but holy pally's are the healing beasts of AV. I top the charts in EVERY AV I'm in. The only ones I don't top in are the quick 4 cap/zerg drek battles. This being because I rush RH because I'm very very hard to kill unless there is a rogue/lock/priest, (someone to screw up my heals) involved. So I don't do any healing in the Galv encounter.
If you stealth and wtf cc the opposing healers, you will do descently well in bg. Then you can tank drek, and everyone loves a good tank for that. Feral druids being the main tanks here since they are the only tanks that aren't a very crappy spec for BG. Don't expect to own in blues, and expect to die on a regular basis. But, practice your cc abilities. See how long you can keep that healer cc'd. Try to do better next time. Work on how to charge, bash, gain points for maim, cyclone, maim, cyclone, charge, etc. Also learn how to swap targets quickly and accurately. The more heals you can disrupt, the better you will do in arena as resto. This is the main difficult skill to master as a resto druid. If you are good at this and can toss in a HoT between cc's, you will be a very successful arena healer. This being said, you better have spec'd for furor, otherwise you won't be any good at this. Knowing when to pounce, and when to charge is a learned skill as well. And once you turn resto again, you will have to learn the judgement of when to nature's swiftness a cyclone or a heal.
Druid's are very powerful, yes, but they are also very weak if you can't play them fully. Resto druid is by far the hardest spec I have played in arena, but also the most rewarding. Having feral experience in BG and learning said abilities is a very important learning experience for a resto druid. I would recomend collecting PVP healer gear, and PVE feral gear. Build a good tank set and run kara or some heroics. Use PVE feral epics in BG. You will take more damage then in PVP gear from casters, yes, but if your goal is to learn cc and do a lot of damage in BG, so learning how to survive thru cc as a druid is a very good thing. Also, the only thing you will have to really worry about would be the caster dps. In PVE tank epics, you won't be taking much damage from melee or hunters. This can be fun as well. You stack attack power to be a good feral tank, so being in the fray and helping protect the bitty squishy dps by tanking the enemy may be a good thing.
Whew! This is very long yes, but I just gave you a huge leap in druid play style that a lot of people don't understand. Practice the key cc points, and you will do very good later on in your career as a resto. You will use feral, balance, and resto abilities. Feral and balance for cc and burst damage, and resto for heals. Being a master of all of these will earn you major credit in arena.

I wonder how many people will actually read all that.
