The numbers are from a mod called DrDamage. it tells you the average dmg of that particular skill and gives you a nice mouseover with a metric ton of info. It is a must have in all my UI's especially on my priest for downranking heals at a glance

very old screenshot but my ui hasn't changed:
http://r.je/ui.jpg
Only really played around with actionbars (using dominos)
While stealthed, the middle block changes to stealth abilities.
I use arrow keys not WASD, and the bars match my keybinds
I have mouselook (num -) key which turns on mouselooking and binds mouse 1 to mutilate.
The middle block on my UI maps as-seen to home/end/insert etc
The right hand block is mapped as-seen to the number pad.
The left hand block is mapped to rather arbitrary (:P) other keys.
For buff management, I find Inline Aura does a great job at telling me when I need to refresh HfB or get SnD up
I might experiment with unit frame addons.

Necroed!
I've just got around to re-building, skinning, tidying and optimizing my UI after being unhappy with a garish, ugly, messy display of bright primary colours and mismatched buttons for the last 3 months:

Thoughts / advice?
Does Alt+6,7,8,9 even qualify as a binding? Might as well click it...
Same with S+5,6,7

Kidb , can u tell me where to get the ct bars an your set up an how to add them in ? Just like adding a addon ? But diff folder? Btw I ask you cause I like your setup best
That UI is way back from BC, and I've switched to dominos since then. You can find CT mod at ctmod.net, but I can't recommend using it anymore. The bars were known to occasionally bug out in combat.

Things I do/would do differently:
- Hide bars. Rogues have a limited skillset, you can literally bind everything.
- Buff/Debuff mod. I use Elkano's and filter out everything I don't care about. I also use BuffEnough so that I can tell at a glance if I'm missing something before pulls.
- Assuming you hide bars, you'll need something to track your CDs. I use CooldownWatch, but there are probably a bunch of options for it. (You might already have something in the top left for this?)
- I would centralize my timers/energy/CP more. I use EventHorizon, but you could just move your bars that you're already using. This isn't necessary, per se, but the less your eyes have to move to check what you need to, the more time you can spend watching for Fire™ and the less eyestrain you will cause.
- Use Tipsy or equivalent to move your tooltip so it stops overlapping @#$%. That irritates the hell out of me.
- Power Auras. You may have it, but if you don't you should look into it. It's a very flexible mod that you can use for a ton of different things. I personally use it for boss abilities that I need to react to quickly. Things like Legion Flames, Nature's Fury, Gravity Bomb, etc. Whenever I'm hit by something that requires quick action, I have a gigantic overlay pop onto the screen. I don't personally find Raid warnings/DBM alerts and whatnot very useful, since they happen so often they tend to turn into white noise for me. The personalized overlays on the other hand are out of the ordinary and I can react essentially immediately. This is a huge help on farm content when you're not really paying attention, or if you're just "out of it" for whatever reason.
