I use steam because of the games they offer. The updates are nice and all, but they tend to get pretty annoying if you just want to log in and play.
I mainly play WoW, and occasionally FFXI (PlayOnline). I do use Steam for other games too, very easy to use/manage them.

I use Steam because a lot of games that I've purchased on DVD require Steam to install. I have a collection of about 10 games on there from that. In the past I've bought some DLC a few times but haven't actually bought a game directly from Steam yet.
The only game I play with is - guess what? - WoW.Cinder Kitten <333 ^.^
I've used digital download once or twice, but not through services as Steam. So I don't.
I use Steam to play DoD, Left For Dead and a few more. And i play WoW also.
Used Steam for a short time but it became kind of annoying so I removed it for good.
When I was playing GTR racing games I used Steam. I downloaded a couple demos of other games. It's a very convenient service. I haven't used it since I started playing WoW.
No I don't. I think World of Warcraft is the only game which delivers a very good gaming experience compared to the few other games I play.
Yes, makes keeping my games easily organized, and can move from one rig to another.
I use steam to play a few other games whenever I feel bored with WoW. Skyrim is a fantastic option...
I do! I use Steam, and (If it ACTUALLY counts) uTorrent.Mostly use Steam to buy F2P games, or actually buy games, or have some put on my wishlist, so i get get a game as a gift (perfect addition IMO).And I usually use uTorrent to games not seen on Steam, or just for movies.*NEEDZ CINDER KITTEH* MEOW. :3
No, i prefer not to have another program running in the background or play a game or program through another program(like steam). I like it simple :)
