I've never been a big fan of the Naruto/One Piece/Bleach shonen trinity. I like my anime a little deeper, a little faster paced, and a little darker.
Shippuuden with it's mass war, the betrayal and rage, and the other darker things steadily coming to light.
One Piece with the 'recent' War with the Marines, and the deaths of Ace and Whitebeard, as well as the back stories of all of the Strawhats, and the steadily evolving story of the Age of Pirates isn't dark and deep enough for you?
Bleach is almost over, thank the Goddess, and I'm only reading it now because of the fact it's almost over.
But really Ryja, go back and pick up One Piece and skip to Shippuuden; you'll be surprised.

As for One Piece; it's still one of the best animes on the air.
I agree it is really good. But I just recently picked it back up. Right now I'm at the part where they land on Water 7 and meet Franky.

I started with DBZ, so I like the more action packed animes.
I also watched Future Diary and that was pretty dark as well.

I've read Naruto part one and part two all the way up to when Naruto fights pain, it just didn't do it for me. I liked the story, just not on the same artistic level that I find with other anime. i'm probably going to revisit Naruto once the manga is done and I have a lot of free time.
I started with DBZ like most other people, moved on to Yu Yu Hakusho, Rurouni kenshin, Trigun, the old adult swim line up. Lately my favorites are Berserk, Gantz, Hellsing, Elfen Lied, Death Note, etc. I've also been getting into romance anime a bit, Toradora, the Key trilogy (Clannad, Kanon, Air). B Gata H Kei.

Trollfucious
Trollfucious watches the Walking Dead, and sometimes the cooking shows. The news scares and depresses Trollfucious, so he does not watch that. He tries to watch the South Park but sometimes does not understand the jokes. He likes the Robot Chicken show, and would like to have a Robot Chicken pet- especially if it could use the remote control. When he was young he watched Power Rangers.

So I just ordered the full series of the Sopranos on ebay for like 70$. Pretty happy with the purchase considering it's over 200$ in the stores. I have never sat down and watched the whole series in order before, this will be a nice way to relax now that the rush to get all my midterms in is over.

Atm I own over 300 DVDs. I love buying DVDs, movies, anime, tv shows, etc. Plus if it's a series I really like I want to support it. With the economy sucking these days and so many people
stealing
streaming everything, it's important to support the official release. Don't get me wrong, I stream stuff too sometimes, but I also try and buy the series later when it becomes available.

Lol, I don't give a damn about that, because:
- They already own enough money
- The ACTORS (who deserve it most) get the same amount of money anyways, even if you download it or buy it
- I AIN' GOT NO MONEY FOR ALL DAT YO, I'M JUST A 17yo SCHOOLGUY

The people who get hurt aren't the actors. When the entertainment industry gets hurt and have to downsize, they wind up closing down stores and firing the people who work at places like FYE, or the guy who works on the assembly line putting the pamphlets in the DVD cases.
A lot of big name actors like Will Smith always command the same fee, so if a studio wants to hire them then they always pay him the same salary. It's the little guy that pirating hurts.
Also a lot of good series, especially anime, wind up getting canceled if they don't sell enough.
I'm not condemning you, like I said, I stream stuff too, everybody does. I'm just saying if it's a series I really like, I want to support it. Although I also just really like owning DVDs.

Hmm yeah I realized I've not posted in here yet.
Avatar: the Last Airbender (9/10, for a kid's show it's absolutely brilliant. I only watched it in full last year, but I adore it and just think it's great).
Game of Thrones (8.8/10 - mostly an absolutely great show but some of the changes are really annoying me; I'm in the middle of rewatching S2 and some of it is so, so bad, e.g. "my dreams come true" and Robb "I WANT TO MARRY THIS RANDOM NURSE BECAUSE SHE'S A NOBLE THAT'S ~NOT LIKE OTHER GIRLS~ EVEN THOUGH I HAVE AN OATH TO FULFIL" Stark, shame because I loved him in the books). However, the cast has been absolutely phenomenal. I recommend it to people, but will always say the books are better.
The Walking Dead (I'll give it an 8/10. I don't like all the changes to all the characters, including Andrea, like most fans - but I don't think it has anything to do with the actress. Andrea aside, I think S3 has been brilliant and although they've been changing things up a bit, sometimes it really, really works).
Once Upon A Time (about a 7.8/10? I don't know, this show really fluctuates in quality. Crappy episodes like Tiny come along worth about a 4/10 and then the next episode is just phenomenal. I like it, but it's got a lot of work to do to make its quality more consistent and less cheesy/repetitive/badly scripted).
Legend of Korra (maybe a 7.6/10? Gorgeous animation, music and general aesthetics. Suffers from shallow characterization (i.e. everyone except Korra and possibly Lin; I mean I love Asami but considering her arc she should have been a much more dynamic character, and don't get me started on the love triangle) and lack of direction in the first half of the season) Yeah, I still overall prefer the original, although it's probably not fair to judge fully until Korra is finished and marathoning them both.
Elementary (Maybe a 7.4/10? I love Joan and Sherlock's dynamic and how it's been developing, I think the cast is great, and although I don't think the mysteries are great, to me they're not the focus of the show. I think it's really character-driven, which I'm liking. Oh, and Joan calling out Sherlock's misogyny was fabulous).
Supernatural (7.2/10 ish? Similar reasons as OUAT, with the added issues that it can be really repetitive and I hate the way they kill off every well written woman in the show).
Cult (I don't know, there's only been a few episodes. I'll give it a 7/10, because something keeps me watching it, I think the show within a show could be better, but hey, that might well be intentional).
I'm almost certain I've forgotten a few, but I can't even remember what I watch tbh.

I don't think it's scheduled until at least summer or autumn, now. :/ We know it's in the 2013/14 business year, but that's about it atm.
