"For staying," the priestess said.

"Well, it's not really a choice, is it?" Dag'rema answered with a huff. "If I went off on my own, that 'Nightbane' thing would kill me in a matter of hours. At least here I have a chance. I plan to depart as soon as you've killed it."
"Well, maybe Gurka won't have to pull watch then?" Kitanga answered, looking over at the other orc, who sat sullenly by the fire. "It seems like she's always staying up to watch," she sighed.

"You just stay up and watch the camp and make sure everything is safe," Kitanga answered. "Have you seen any of us do it?"

"I just think that might let Gurka get some rest," Kitanga explained. "It seems like she's always on fire guard. Maybe if she got more sleep, she wouldn't have such a short fuse."

"Perhaps..." Vashadya said, then changed the topic. "What is it you plan to do once you have departed?" the priestess asked levelly, though she knew full well the group would not allow such an occurrence, and for the moment the night elf knew she could not either.

"Pet kittens and make cakes and maybe start a farm underneath a magical rainbow," Dag'rema answered, looking at the elf. "That's what you wanted to hear, right? That I'm not an evil warlock anymore and now I love people?" she went on, scowling and looking at the ground. "Well sometimes you can't mend the damage that's been done."

"It is never too late to mend the damage," Vashadya responded, examining the warlock's expression searchingly.

"Some things are past fixing. The only thing left to do is to kill them," Dag'rema answered, sighing as she rolled over and attempted to sleep.

"Some things are less broken than they let themselves believe," Vashadya said, partly to the orc and partly to herself, unsure if Dag'rema was listening anymore.
The night elf finished her prayers, then made her way back toward the fire, unrolling her sleeping bag and lying down.

Gurka slept lightly, frequently tossing and turning, though whether her nightmares were brought on by an evil spirit or her own mind she didn't know. She was the first of the orcs to wake, tired and cold. She immediately set to feeding the embers of the previous night's fire and sat quietly, staring into the flames.

Gurka barely took notice of the elf, simply watching the fire, as if she might find answers there. Nothing sprang to her mind though; no epiphany was granted, despite her staring. It wasn't until Dag'rema stirred that she looked away, instead turning to watch the warlock as she rose.
Dag'rema rubbed the sleep from her eyes and rose, glaring back at the shaman when she noticed her staring. Saying nothing, she merely wandered over to Adalis when she smelled food being prepared.
